While holding either the ALM 1 or ALM 2 button, press up or down to set the correct wake-up time
Release ALM 1 (or 2) when you are finished.

I have a g-511 and i need to set the hand set back one hour!

Which do you have a g-511 or a g-shock gw500A-1V which iswhat you are posted under?
The GW500A-1V is an auto set model that will set itself back to EST at 2:00AM
However, if you want to do it manually its pretty much the same procedure forboth watches
First press the mode button (the Lower left one) until the hour and AM/PMindicator are flashing
Then press the set/reset button (lower right) to cycle through til its one hourearlier than when you started
When the time is where you want it, press the mode button again.
Hope this helps, if not re-post with more details about specific model andfunction you are trying to access.

I have an OCW-M 800. I have downloaded the manual from mfg. website and cannot seem to get it to set the time for EST correctly. THis watch cost me over $500.00 and is so complicated that I fear I have...

I am not American, so I am not familiar with the definition of "EST" or which of the four "city" settings is correct for you.

Having read the instructions I see that for America you have to select "USA" first and then the appropriate city, have you done this?. The list of four options covers 4 time zones, so you should be able to get the correct time for your area.

When I bought an atomic watch recently, I had to leave it overnight to catch the timekeeping signals. I see that you posted your question only 14 hours ago. How long have you had it. GIve your watch a day or so for it to latch on to the correct time.

Check that the "autoreceive" is "on".

Check that the daylight saving time (DST) is correctly set. The manuals indicate that some areas may not be using it?

Keep trying - it is nice to have a watch that is always correct!

You will need a pdf reader on your pc, you will find all instructions in there.

Can't set time zone

Try pressing and holding the -CF for three seconds then press it again. The P (Pacific Time) appears, press it again and the M (Mountain time) appears, etc.
