My camera is less than a year old.I have put in new batteries.Sometimes it will turn on,sometimes not.

The battery maybe faulty and is not fully charged. If the battery is flat it will affect the operation of the camera.

Are you using the batteries recommended by the manufacturer? that is a very important fact, even though you can find other batteries that have the same specs, they make the cameras to where it will work best, and sometimes only, with the batteries recommended.

Some cameras, even the expensive Nikon professional cameras have the same problem. Sometimes turning it on and off fixes it, sometimes removing and reinserting the battery works. Sometimes, going into the menu and finding "reset" works.

Sounds like you don't have a good ground at the battery. Take the clamps off of the battery and give them a good cleaning. Then, put some dielectric grease on the battery posts when you put the clamps back on.

sometimes less charging the battery damages its potential and u need new battery.
do charge battery daily even when not in use.

was just having the same problem the camera would not turn on... NOTHING....  battery fully charged was messing around with it opened battery door pushed in on battery while trying to turn on and it came on, guessing battery was not making complete contact added a piece of foil in door to push down on battery when door shut now working fine

The only solution for that is to buy a new battery. I had the same problem with my canon 900Ti (NB5 battery), died after less than a year. It probably exceeded it's battery cycle life... have a nice day!

power problem

Get another battery - it is possible the replace is stale/old/dud. Check the cleanliness of the contacts on battery and the camera, a light polish with tissue- sometimes if the camera has not been used for a with a slight patina of dirt/corrosion will build up to prevent contact.
