Try replacing the battery. If the camera is still draining power from a new battery, call Nikon directly and explain the situation. They might have you send the camera in and send you back a refurbished model.

Nikon Coolpix S570 - Monitor freezes after pressing any button on the camera body.

The new battery may be really dead (discharged). Please leave battery out for a while and then put it back in and plug in the power plug. (Do NOT push any button on the camera) Make sure the camera CAN CHARGE the battery first. Typically one Green LED lights up and another one flashes. If it does this then WAIT until the battery is fully charged.

The camera originally comes with a Nikon EN-EL10 Lithium-ion Battery.

My S570 saves pictures very slow,it takes several seconds, even change for faster memory card has not changed the problem.

This could possibly be an issue with the battery. If it doesn't keep a charge well, the camera will take longer to process the image.
I hope this helps!

I have to charge my digital camera by the usb port but it will not charge at all why?

The S570 doesn't have any charging circuitry. Connecting it to a computer's USB port drains the battery faster, since the camera has to communicate with the computer (even if it's only to say it's got nothing to say). The battery MUST be charged outside the camera, using the supplied MH-63 charger.

If you need a charger, you can order one from Nikon at
http://shop.nikonusa.com/store/nikonusa/en_US/pd/productID.213504100

If you want to go with a third-party charger, one such is

Can I use software, USB cable, battery and battery charger from the nikon coolpix s550 on a s570 camera?

The S550 uses the EN-EL11 battery and the MH-64 charger while the S570 uses the EN-EL10 battery and the MH-63 charger. The two cameras have different USB connectors, so you cannot use the same cord. You can use the same software with the two cameras.

My nikon coolpix s570 keeps giving me a waring that says "battery temperature too high" and the camera won't even turn on

Hello,

The camera will turn itself off if it thinks the battery is too hot.
The manual just says to turn the camera off and allow the battery to cool down.
It is not right for this to keep happening.

If possible I would return the camer to the store and tell them about it, it may need a repair.

You may like to see if it is better with another battery.

Hope this help a bit.

Keeping your finger in place to hold the orange piece to the side, turn the camera over. You may have to GENTLY shake the camera, but gravity should pull the battery out.

Can i plug my nikon coolpix s570 into my computer to charge battery

No. You must either remove the battery and charge it in the MH-63 charger or use a nikon coolpix s570. The best bet is to get a second spare battery so that you can recharge a spent battery.
