Hallo there, If''ve got a Kodak ESP 5250 all in

Hallo there, If''ve got a Kodak ESP 5250 all in one printer. This morning i wanted to scan some invoices but the scan did'nt scan at all. If you have any solutions i appreciate your help. Kind regards Klaus

Yes i am using the computer to select a destination. i can print a document of the computer no problem. I can do a normal copy from the printer, - no problem. The printer is scanning again. Not really know what the problem was, but it's working again. Question, if the catridge is low or empty does this effect the scanning process? I don't understand. Unless the company wants to sell colour catridges and the printer is programmed that way to stop or to interupped other functions as well. Is this so???

    Never the less
Thank you for your help, i will do recomment your help and your service.

Hi!
Can you print? Just to check if printer is communicating with your computer.
Is one of the ink empty? I believe you can not scan if one is.
Keep me posted.

    Hi!

Are you trying to scan using your computer or from the printer alone?

  • Anonymous Mar 15, 2011

    Hi!

Yes if one of the ink is out, chances are you will not be able to scan anything. That's how all-in-one printer works.

Glad to hear everything is working fine for now. Cheers!

Kodak ESP 5250/assembly/back of printer/roller assembly

Ok, here is what you do to replace the gray paper feed at the back of the ESP 5250:
Hold the part with the flat side up and the rollers should be facing you. Note that there are 2 pegs on the right side, one smaller than the other. Now look at the back of your printer, you may need a flashlight, and find 2 square holes, one smaller than the other on the right side of the printer. Guide the pegs on the part into the
holes on the printer (right side) .Then push the left side of the part into the left side. Note that the part does not snap in. What you do is push the part to the left as far as it will go to hold it in place.
You should now be able to print.
You're welcome, have a nice day, Ken the fixit guy.

I`ve just purchaced a kodak esp 5250 printer.and im unable to connect to my bt home hub wireless . I`ve followed the instructions that came with the printer Can you help. Thanks

You can try to check if you have done the steps here. If everything fails, you might consider getting a USB cable to connect the printer directly to the computer first and use the Kodak Printer Setup Utility to connect. Make sure to install the printer's driver and software using the disc beforehand.
