I have 2 remote controls for my Bose Wave Music System. There is a connection problem when trying to transmit the remote to control the cd player. The batteries for both remote were changed (in case that was the problem), still when I tried to play, the unit will not respond to the signal it received from the remote control. Also, right before it stopped working altogether, it was losing the signal from the remote that I couldn't even get the cd out so I ended up having to unplug and then plug the unit in order to have the cd ejected.

Go through the BOSE manual to see if another channel can be chosen to control the system. If not, try and locate them farther apart and shield the remote with your hand to avoid signal from getting to the unwanted device.
The Bose Wave Radio and Wave Music System use different IR codes. It is no other reason other than Bose made the remotes incompatible. This is often done to prevent interferance with systems that may be close to each other.
get a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male cable(one end to the laptop headphone jack and the other end to the AUX jack of the Bose wave music system), you are good to go...
First have the remote tested. You can buy a basic Infra-red tester at Radioshack for about $6. If the remote is putting out signal, the Bose will have to be serviced. Call them and get an RMA # and they will fix it for a flat rate.
