My front load Kenmore washer (970C4103200) will not agitate or spin. This model has one timer/cycle switch which is a static or friction switch. It will drain when it moves to this cycle or if you move the switch to a drain cycle manually. There are NO ISSUES with load size, lint/coins in trap, kinked hoses,etc. This has occurred in the past and rotating the dial or moving it back to start of wash cycle would correct it. Solutions? New switch?

the door can be manually unlocked by removing the bottom front panel, reach up and there is a pull tab on the lock mechanism. it is a crime that they do not post this online or in the manual, and let folks ruin their clothes.

The filter on the front side of the washer was clogged. I have two children. So, I found candy wrappers, lip gloss, pennies. After cleaning the filter, it runs fine now.
