If you have installed active sysnc then the device should connect. If it doesnt i would check in my computer to see if it is showing as connecte. Also when you connect the usb lead to the phone it should pop up a selection on the phone to how you want to connect make sure you choose active sync. the screen only appears for a few seconds then it will connect with the last selected option

I lost my htc touch diamond pc suite cd i moved and got a new pc what can i do

Hi. You can download ActiveSync (for XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (for Vista) from this link: (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-synch.mspx). Then, you find the specific updates and apllications for your Touch Diamond here: (http://www.htc.com/www/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=133&act=sd&cat=all). Hope this helps.

I do not understand my phone enough to know how to download and use prorams fom the internet to my htc dianond back. can you assst with this?

most applications can be downloaded to your computer. then setup an activesync connection and run the setup program. the pc will then install the software onto the phone over the activesync connection

Htc touch diamond freezes on start-up

I called and spoke to HTC ..apaprently there are issues with some of the handsets .. and its power related ... the best this is to do 2 things to solve any number of issues....
A: Get a replacment battery, and recharge it fully without turning the phone on. So plug it in and charge it until the white pulsating light is fully lit and not 'breathing' ..as they say. Once fully charged then turn on your phone...
B: Once on ... 'hardware' reset it -  (you turn on the phone, holding the volume down button, and the hang up button and pressing the 'software reset button, at the same time)
Should solve it ... IF it dosent .. and your getting the same issues after battery replacment, software and hardware resets ...you've basically got a 'hardware' issue with the phone in which case you need a replacment or repair... (make sure your phone is insured)
Hope that helps folks...
p.s. My phone eventually stopped charging ...nothing, no power so i sent it back for a replacment which im waiting for to arrive...
