My Panasonic Model: THL32U20A will not respond. You can turn it on manually (not by remote) and once turned on, nothing works, IE: remote doesnt do anything and you cant even change channels or volume etc manually. It started playing up yesterday. All the volume, brightness, sharpness ect bars were coming up on the screen all by them sevles without me touching anything. And now today it just wont do anything. We bought this tv less than a year ago, brand new! PLEASE HELP!! Regards Kelli

Have a techy friend or your husband take it apart and peak around in there. You can carefully watch the tvs functionality if you plug it in with the cover removed, just be careful.

I too have exactly the same fault. The Tv even turns itself on in the middle of the night, i have to unpug it from the wall. It has been in for repair 3 times now, one guy said there is nothing wrong with it. I am keen to hear if anyone has had this fault resolved.
Thanks
Darren

The waves mean that the remote is vibrate mode. Try reprogramming the remote. Open the door, turn ignition on, press and release the valet button once then, press and hold the valet button. press the lock button on the remote. Vehicle should respond with a chirp from the siren. Release valet button, turn off ignition, test system.

I haven a RCA RCU704MSPZ universal remote control. Can you please help me get the code to use with my panasonic vcr? Thank you Peter G.

The Panasonic VCR remote codes are 008,053 for that remote. You may also try using code search. I have outlined the procedure below.

Programming a Device using Code Search:

Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
  1. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
  2. Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
  3. Release CODE SEARCH.
  4. Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
  5. Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
  6. With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

The magnavox t.v. i'm trying to program doesnt respond to any of the jr300 codes, How do i do an all search

Try this as all remote controls work the same when manual setting.
Here you go. This will work with most all universal remote controls. If you don't have the code do the following:
Automatic Programming
With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. It should take a couple of seconds for the light to remain solid. The remote control is in programming mode.

3. Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

4. Press CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down repeatedly until the device turns on.

5. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

Note:
• To exit without storing the code, press BACK.
• T he unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press
CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down after the device turns on. (go slow you need to press OK when the TV turns on) if you mess up turn TV off and start over.
6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

RCR3273 Remote Control code for 8607 Scientific Atlanta cable box

These are all of the codes I have for the RCA universal remote.

Programming Your RCA Universal Remote.

The RCA universal remote may already be set up to operate your brand of TV, VCR, or Cable Box. It is pre-programmed with following codes: TV-000, VCR-000, Cable Box-000, and AUX is programmed with VCR code 037. For brands that require programming, there are two ways to program: Using Code Lists or Code Search. Use Code Search if the code lists are not available or if the codes from the lists do not operate a device.

Programming a Device using Code Search: 1- Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box) 2- Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH 3- Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once. 4- Release CODE SEARCH. 5- Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second). 6- Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER. 7- With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

Programming a device using the Code Lists: 1- Find codes for each device and brand below. 2- Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH. 3- Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button you want to set up. If programming AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device to be programmed (TV, VCR or Cable). When the selected device button flashes proceed to the next step. 4- Enter the three digit code from the TV, VCR or Cable Box code lists. 5- Release CODE SEARCH. 6- With the device on, press another button, for example CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-5 using another code number from the lists.
