Car DVD player will only play sound through wireless headphones, not through speakers

If all speakers quit at once i would suspect the amplifier has quit. Depending on the specific stereo system it may be inside the radio or an external amp.

Depending on the model of DVD player you have there should be an AUX or DVD button that toggles between speakers and headphones.

My grandcarvan sxt came with a remote for the DVD system and wireless headphones from KOSS. You have to press the headphone button on the remote to change it to headphones otherwise it comes through the main system. With the button pressed we can listen to cd or radio in front while they wear the headphones in back. You might need the remote to change it back to main system. i have a 2005 f-150 and it was bought used, no wireless headsets and remote but i learned if you push buttons 2 and 4 together on the cddeck you can use the radio through the speakers and the kids in the back can used the headphone jacks to listen to the dvd player.
