Let me understand your problem. You are saying that the text is not black in areas on the print, they appear to be white or washed out. If this is the case the first thing that you may try is to remove the "toner shield glass" and clean it. It is located directly under the toner bottle tray, possibly behind a little metal bracket. It just slides out to the front of the machine. If that does not help, then the machine would likely need to have the developer and drum replaced.

try to cover it manually with a plain white board when your copying, not using the actual cover of the machine. if the black not appear, you have to adjust the white thinggy on the cover where the side you have been troubling.

Gestetner DSC 232SP: I purchased this copier used and it had printing ok. My color copies are coming out horrible. they are displaying a white line in the same area on page after page. Even after I ran a...

The white line or lines are NOT caused by the fuser. A defect "line" in the fuser would cause the symtom of the print rubbing off the page but not blank lines on your copy. First we need to separate your copy quality issues. This machine uses 4 drums, 4 developer units and a transfer belt. Most copy quality issues will reside in 1 or more of these units. Lets start with a few questions. 1)Are your copy quality issues ONLY on color copies? or are the black and whites poor too? 2) Are you running copies only thru the document feeder or have you made any copies from the glass?
Are you printing on the copier from your computer?

Copystar 1815 problem!

Are you getting black or white lines on your copies when you use the adf? When you lift the adf up and look at the copy board glass for any dirt, next look at the small piece of glass next to it. The white out is on that part or the copyboard glass. Clean it off and you should be good to go. You would get paper jams if the white out is on the rollers. If you want to clean them use a rag with very little WD-40 on it and lightly rub the white out off. Yes, I did say WD-40, it is not just for squicks... Good Luck

: The problem occurs because of the trickle development system in the machine, making extended lengths of black and white copies / prints does not allow the black developer housing to purge itself of excess waste Toner (Dry Ink) and Developer. There are two solutions for the problem:
  • Make 1,000 copies / prints of a black and white job, then make 150 copies / prints of full color. Continue making 1,000 copies / prints of the black and white job, then 150 full color, and so on, until the entire black and white job is complete.
  • Make extended jobs in groups of 100 by making 100 copies / prints of the black and white job, then allowing the machine to cycle down (return to 'Ready') and making the next 100 copies / prints. Continue in this pattern until the entire black and white job is complete.
or
  1. Power OFF the machine.

  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Power ON the machine.

Copying problem kyocera mita 3530

You did not specify how much of it it is NOT copying or left off.

Depends on how close to the end it is copying.
Try this make a copy of the ceiling ( open top with no documents and copy) it will give you a black sheet of paper, compare it to your copy, there is a margin of white around the black area this is because :
1- makes sure the toner is falling on the sheet
2- leaves enough room to clear out of the fuser.

Is your print falling in the white area? if so it can be adjusted but there has to be a margin of white around the paper. or it will cause jamming.

Good luck
