I have a Kitchen Aid side by side refrigerator. Under the refrigerator there is a plastic water overflow tray. It collects water and the water becomes foul smelling. I have tried removing the tray to clean it without success. How do I do this? Regards, Bob Read

You should be able to remove the base grill by opening both doors to 90 degrees and pushing down while pulling outwards on the base grill to unlock the top clips, once the top is away roll the base grill toward you and up. From there you should be able to see the pan underneath which should slide out.

Clean it thoroughly and use a mixture of baking soda and water for final cleaning rinse and replace, I also mix some baking soda and water and pour in the bottom of the fridge to allow the mixture to cleanse the drip tube leading to the pan.

Installation is in reverse of removal

My kitchen aid refrigerator won't stop buzzing

If everything is cooling right, take the front grille off at the bottom of the fridge and move the plastic drip tray. It might be touching the motor or pipe, causing the noise.

Water dripping under our kitchen aid supra refrigerator

Does it have an icemaker? Was the water line plastic tubing or copper? If plastic, it could have been dried out and cracked by the heat from the motor.

Auto defrost works fine except for water accumlating in the bottom of unit under the bottom trays instead of in the water tray by the compressor. [email protected]

There is a leak or damage of the pipe leading from the evaporator downwards. The defrosted water is leaking out of the tubing to the bottom, replace this tubing or check the leak on the collecting tray under the evaporator.

Water leaking

the bottom tray/salad compartment will always get a fair amount of condensation because they are glossy plastic(bathroom paint is matt)the only "cure" is kitchen towel under the tray and remove once a week.as for the drain it is normally at the back and does collect a fair amount of "moss"in the tube, pour some clorine bleach down to clear any out.the design of the shelves directs the side/back condensation down the drain.

Water dispenser suddenly stop working

Hi,

We have a Kitchen Aid that did the same thing. It could be that the reservoir tank is frozen or it could be that the line is frozen. We called Kitchen Aid, our fridge is under warranty, and they installed a freez kit over the tank and that solved the problem. The tank might be behind the vegetable trays on your fridge. What brand do you have?

Overflow tray is filled with water how do i get it out?

Hello, I'm thinking that what you are refering to is the tray under the fridge, is that correct ? If so, that is not an overflow tray but rather the condensor pan. When your fridge cycles thru a defrost cycle the water from your thawed freezer evaporator collect's under your fridge where it sit's in this pan and evaporates. If you are talking about something else let me know. I'll watch for your reply. If this is indeed what you where inquiring about, than that should answer your question and I hope you take a second to rate the info I provided. Thank you for visiting "fixya". Macmarkus :)

Water leaks under veg bins.. Cannot tell where it is coming from. Accumulates slowly

This refrigerator look like mine (Picture).
Mine did the same thing. If it is the same then this is what I did.
Look under the there is a collection tray.
This tray collect the water.
At the bottom of the refrigerator (Inside where the water collect) is a cap.
The cap has cap would have holes or a slot that allow the little water to fall to the collection tray.
Mine has slots and was block up.
clean it out and that should do it.
The water should be able to fall to the tray at the bottom.
I do hope this help you.
