I have a Leica D-LUX 3. There is a an error message that the memory card is full, however, there are no pictures to delete from the card. When I go to review pictures, I get this error message: "No valid picture to play". How do I empty the memory card at this point? (battery is fully charged). Thanks.

You should remove the memory card, plug it in to a card reader on a computer, and copy any photos off of it, then delete them (or reformat the card). There may be photos on the card (in a different folder, or in an unreadable format for the camera) that may make the camera think that there are both 0 photos on the card as well as 0 space left on the card.

Dell desktop about a year old does not recognize SD 4 GB pictures from my Leica D-Lux 3.

Your 4GB card is an SDHC card. Is your card reader compatible with SDHC cards, or only with SD cards (2GB or smaller)?

Conect USB to a PC

Leica does not offer a driver for this camera on their web site. You might want to consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I have a v-lux 2 and want to get rid of the built in memory. . it is full. . . how do i do that?

I don't think you can 'get rid of' it but think it only comes into use if there is no additional memory card in place. So take any other memory card out and then try to delete or clear out the images in the built in memory in the usual ways (double clicking delete to get to 'Delete All' is handy). One other thing is that marking pics as 'Favourite' prevents their deletion, but if you switch 'Favourites' to off in the menu this removes any protection

Will a Leica D-lux 3 camera use any class six card, no matter what the GB size, eg, the camera came with a 4GB class six card; will a 32GB class six caed work in it?

The D-lux 3 will handle any size SD or SDHC card. It will not handle the newer and larger SDXC cards, though. The class refers to the read/write speed of the card and will make little difference to the camera, though a faster card may download faster if you use a card reader.

Built in memory full on leica d-lux3

You can either use a compatible memory card or transfer the images to a computer and format the internal memory.

Keeps saying turn camera off and on again

Try changing the memory card and then check. You might also need to format the internal memory of the camera in case it has been encrypted by your office.

USB Device not recognized

if the camera has memory cards (sD or xD or MMC) you can download pictures on the memory card then use a memory card reader with your PC to copy them. memory card readers are cheep and should do the job.
