The spool gun is a 12volt motor, i usely hook it to the power feed for the feed motor in the welder. it is also 12 volt . i have heard of some welders that have 110 volt feed motors but have not seen one yet but just to be save i would test the power feed to the feed motor before i made the connection.

It very good info, because my welder already has internal 18 volt source. It is no problem to make lower voltage by PWM by one transistor.
    Thanks a lot

I hav a silver beauty 90200 mig welder and suddenly no power through whip to the gun.any suggestions that I may try to trouble shoot problem?

There is an inline fuse with the power feed to the gun, it may be blown. It is usually under the panel that exposes your connections for the gun/ wire spool.

I have a Migmatic 200 Canox (millar)ser# kb060228 and would like to purchace a spool gun to use with it . There is a 14 pin remote feeder plug on th front. Is there a spool gun available for it, or do I...

They make a spool gun for it, it has a round 7 pin connector like an RV trailer with braking would use.

If yours is truly a 14 pin, you can use your schematic and the one for the spool gun made for your machine to rewire it to work for you.

this is the manual for the gun that made for your welder:

I own a Lincoln 305gas powered welder I recently purchased a Lincoln 25M suitcase and wanted to know if the two were compatible before I tried them together and if I can weld aluminum with them hooked up

Hi:

Yes your 25M feeder will work perfectly with ANY engine drive welder. Regarding the aluminum welding that's a no, sorry but suitcase feeder and gun are specialty made for mild and SS welding. For the aluminum you will require a spool gun and N adapter for your engine drive. Check you onwer's manual for more details.

What mig welder would you I buy to restore a old car.

I always tell my customers that the best machine for a body shop is a millermatic 212 if you have 220V available if not, go to a Millermatic 211 this is one is a dual voltage unit 110V/220V. if you can afford it buy a spool gun SG100 for all aluminum parts, the machine will cost you 999.00 and the spool gun 215.00. Best investment ever for your shop.

Spool gun not working

Was it working before?? If so check switch on gun/relay in welder and connections. If not it is not connected properly/bad relay/ gun switch/ or bad spool gun.
