If your Toughbook has an integrated GPS, this may be conflicting with the touchpad or touchscreen driver. You can fix this by running the GPS Registry Patch - SKIPENUM.REG, which is found in the C:\UTIL\GPS\ folder. This file can also be found by following the link below.
If you are using a GPS module that is not integrated, you should contact the manufacturer of the GPS module for a similar patch.
If you are not using a GPS module, or if the above steps do not fix your problem, re-install the touchpad and/or touchscreen drivers.

Simply fill out the exact make/model of your laptop and click on "Search".
goto your device manager and then find your display driver and update it. Dont search for it, manually locate the driver being in the location where you extracted the driver. Then update. and bingo!
Go to the Panasonic site, go to their support pages and use the serial number from the laptop to find the original configuration. The touch screen drivers will be there, just download and install. Keep a copy of the drivers on cd for the next time your computer is reformatted or crashes.
It sounds like the cables for the sound & touchpad were not fully connected. Take it back to the servicer and ask them to reconnect your audio & touchpad cables.
