With this board i do not have a cd and while xp goes on ok , i cannot access internet.i think i need chipset drivers

You need to download the lan drivers

go to that website click on drivers and install all the drivers listed there.

once u install the lan drivers you can go on the internet

Go to this link on the Gigabyte website from another computer that can access the internet and download the drivers you need.

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=1769&dl=1#dl Copy those drivers to a CD or USB flash drive and take them to the computer with the motherboard installed and install the drivers. Let me know if you need more detailed information.

Hi.. Have a friend download the driver from the motherboard manufacturer's web site ( or use a different computer). Then you can burn the LAN driver and others to a CD or put them on a usb "pen drive." Hank

You should be able to download the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website, or at the least, from the site of the company that supplied the sound chipset to the board maker.
