At starting when i press Fn+F7 the LCD light comes for few seconds and then vanishes, now the duration of the light is even less than a second. I have checked by connecting other monitor and it works properly. On consulting on internet help I come to know that the backlight mayb not working, and now I couldnt able to get any assistance for replacing the backlight. So I need the procedure to replace the backlight CCLF of my laptop thank you

The backlights in your monitor are part of the display panel itself and cannot be changed..
You may need to replace the entire display panel.
However, start by having the inverter which runs the display panel backlighting checked as the fault may lay in it rather then in the panel itself.
Now, you must be VERY careful when handling this inverter as it is more then capable of giving you a nasty electric shock.
To be safe, have the panel and the inverter checked by a professional.
NEVER handle an inverter that is connected to a supply rail..
The inverter is usually located inside the monitor housing of the laptop and care must be taken to open up the housing. Most housings are held together with formed plastic clips and you simply prise the fascia off the front very carefully. DO NOT apply any pressure to the display panel during this.
If the inverter is not in the monitor housing, then it will be under the keyboard and in this case, I would advise you take the laptop to a professional as replacing the wrong screw into the wrong hole can cause serious damage to the mainboard and destroy the laptop.

The screen is really dark

Locate the Fn (Function) key on your keyboard. It may be on the bottom left side with dark blue letters. Locate the two "brightness" keys near the top of the keyboard. These will be in the "F" keys, possibly if F6 and F7. They should have little sun pictures or something similar to indicate brightness. Hold down the Fn key while pressing F7, or whichever "F" key your laptop uses to increase brightness. Tap F7 repeatedly until you reach the desired brightness. Fn must be held down as you continue to tap. Hope this helps.

I got black screen a few seconds after reboot my LENOVO 3000 N100, type 0689 - 2BS, Laptop run normally without screen light, I need to flash screen in order to read it. I tried unplugging the battery and...

Hi. I think the LCD screen of your laptop needs a replacement because I think the backlight on that LCD is already busted thats why you need to point a flashlight or some sort of light just to see the display. Powerdraining your computer wont work because this already a hardware issue with the LCD, that's why when you switch display with your monitor it works fine. I would suggest replacing the LCD of that laptop or try calling Lenovo tech support if your laptop still under warranty so that they would replace it for free. This is no. to contact for your Lenovo laptop US/Canada 1-800-426-7378, Australia 1-300-880-917. Hope this Helps

I don't have video on my 400sd4 laptop

If the system is booting up completely and you can hear is starting up then the problem is limited to your video.
First try this
Boot up your system so that it's in windows (listen for start sounds and windows music etc)
once you believe the system is fully booted press and hold the FN key. While holding FN press and release the F3 key one time and then let go of FN. Wait a few second and see if the LCD screen comes on. If it does not try FN-F3 a couple more time, waiting a few second in between.
If that does not work then try plugging in and external monitor to verify that the system is working otherwise. If the external monitor does not come on right away then press Fn-F3 again with it attached to allow the system to send a signal to the external port.
If it works on the external monitor but cannot come on the LCD screen, the that indicates a problen inside your laptop or LCD screen.

Broken screen, external monitor via VGA won't

Press "Fn+F7" once, wait a few seconds, and press it again, to "cycle" through all the possibilities (LCD-only, VGA-only, both).

Try the monitor with some other computer (desktop or laptop) to see if the monitor works at all.

Restart your computer -- does the initial "splash" screen (showing CPU speed and RAM-test) show? Does the "Windows" screen (with the crawling worm) show on the external monitor?

My laptop is very dark and holding fn and the sun

The Back-light on your LCD screen is bad, your crystals aren't illuminating, so it is dark.... very dark.

You need a new LCD screen.

Sorry.

Black blank screen Lenovo 3000 N100

You say the laptop all of a sudden flashed off.

How old is the laptop? You may have suffered one of two things? First of all, if the hard drive will not boot back up, even after using the recovery discs, then that would explain it powering off. I have seen this happen on old desktop hard drives.

Next, try to get the transformer or adapter tested. It may not be putting out enough amperage to run the laptop.

T43P LCD keeps going dark

I think you are having problem with backlight. The concept of laptop is that if there is problem with backlight then it will try to shut it down(shut the light down). If you restart your laptop ,that mean you turn the light on again...after that if its blink or something wrong then again your system will try to shut it down to prevent other part get spoil.

What you have to do is..
1.problem from backlight replace backlight
2.problem from inverter replace inverter
3.problem from motherchip...repair motherboard.
