My aer5715qaw oven will not heat. I set the temp and the buzzer goes off immediatly to show it is hot then just makes a ticking sound. the oven does not heat

I had this problem. I replaced the oven heating element and the sensor unity and still the oven wouldn't come up to temperature. I finally gave the stove a sharp rap with my fist directly above the oven control board. It has been working ever since. A little something I learned in the Navy.

It indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the temp.sensor needs replacement. If you want to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement.
