Make sure that there is not anything obstructing the washer when shutting the door. Turn the unit off and then power it back up, and then start the cycle.

This light will signal when there is something obstructing the drain, check, and remove debris.

Check that the water valves are opened fully or whether the water inlet hose is kinked. Check that the water inlet filter is not clogged and clean it, if necessary, as described in the operating instructions. Check that the drain pump is not clogged. This can be cleaned as described in the operating instructions. Reset the error message as follows: To cancel the error message, turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again...That should resolve your issue. I apologize for the delay in answering your question. Thank you for choosing Fixya!!!!!

More information maybe needed...
Is this a new install or existing? (if existing please repost with more details of how this came to be)
If new install, the drain is not properly installed - Make certain you have a loop of hose on the outside of the dishwasher, typically it is on the unit and factory installed and attached,. if the loop is changed then you will not have drainage and it would trigger a problem with the intake/ drain,,,
Best regards

ok - perhaps some more questions will help you get to the bottom of it all:
Did you take out the bottom dish tray and inpsect the drain such that it is fully clear, no debris or other sign of being plugged or reduced drain flow?
How about the drain hose where does it lead to and what is the condition - does it drain to your kitchen sink? Is there an insinkerator (garbage disposal) in the sink drain which the dishwasher has been hooked into - perhaps something pinched the drain hose in there?
Alternatively the water feed line - did you inspect to see it's not been pinched or perhaps shut off for any reason?
Also - perhaps you could do a (lighted) visual inspection in the basement below where the dishwasher is installed to be sure everything is in order.. water & drain lines..
    Best regards
    Ck

My miele g680 dishwasher did have a flashing intake/drain I cleaned it seemed to be working fine, then everytime I try to start it the softener light comes on with no further washing activity.

that is just an indicator that your salt is low. it will stay on until you refill the water softener with softener salt. it will not affect the dishwasher to run it without the salt. the water for your final rinse will not be softened.

Zanussi ZWF580- after the wash cycle I press the red button to rinse & spin but it just tumbles & rinses again, then the red button comes on again. This could go on all day. I find that to finish...

If the START / PAUSE button lights up red, the washing machine detects a malfunction. Now you should count how many times the START / PAUSE button lights up red and tell to us what kind of malfunction is being done.

Try to rapid reading of alarm codes when the appliance is in normal operating mode (e.g. during the execution of the washing
programme):
Press and hold down START/PAUSE and the nearest option button for at least two seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence indicating the last alarm.

LED indicator START / PAUSE with red light = indicates the first digit of the alarm code (family)
• LED indicator START / PAUSE with green light = indicates the second digit of the alarm code (internal number of the family)

How do you reset the red light on the defender when you put in a new filter? My light has never went out and I think it is supose to .

It won't go out by itself.
1. Plug unit into outlet. 2. Press power ON/OFF switch to the ON position. 3. Allow unit to start running at low speed. 4. PRESS and HOLD both the UP and DOWN arrow buttons until the FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR starts to blink. 5. Release both the UP and DOWN arrow buttons. 6. While the FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR is still flashing, again PRESS and HOLD both the UP and DOWN arrow buttons untile the FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR turns off.

If the steps above have been performed properly, the Filter Replacement Indicator will turn offand not flash again for 11 months. If the Filter Replacement Indicator remains on, repeat the steps again.
*Note that in step 6 above, the Filter Replacement Indicator MUST still be flashing when the buttons are pressed the second time. The Filter Replacement Indicator will continue to flash for approximately 3 seconds after the buttons are released as required in step 5 above.

Miele g892 and just like everyone the red light comes on and dishwasher stops running> why cant you answer thic common problem>

The red light tell you there is a fault. You have to read the fault code and it will give you a general idea of the problem - to do this you have to enter the service mode of operation - close the door and turn the dishwasher on.
The Start/Stop light must be blinking. If the Start/Stop light is not blinking, press and hold
the Start/Stop button for at least 3 seconds to exit the cycle. The Start/Stop light should now be blinking.

Press and hold the Start/Stop button while turning the dishwasher on. Release the
Start/Stop button and immediately press it 2 more times. Flashing Intake/Drain and
Salt lamps and a lit Rinse lamp indicates successful accessing of services mode

Lost owners manual

Hello,

I do not believe this is available on-line, but have some info that might help you use the remote.

To Search For A Code:
  1. Manually turn on device to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the red indicator light stays on, then release it.
  3. Press and quickly release the desired ode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator light should blink once.
  4. Press the "Channel Up" button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator light should blink off with each button press. If you accidentally overshoot the required code, press the "Channel Down" button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel. Pressing "Channel Up" changes direction again.
  5. Press and release "Mute" button to install the code.
To Identify The Code That Was Found:
  1. Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the red indicator stays on. Release the "Code Search" button.
  2. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator light blinks and then stays on.
  3. Press and release the "Code Search" button. The red indicator light goes off.
  4. To find the first digit for the code stored under the mode key pressed in "Step 2" press each numeric key from 1-9 in turn. When the red indicator light blinks off, the number you pressed is the first digit for the code you are searching for.
  5. To find the second digit, repeat "Step 4," this time when the red indicator light blinks off, this is the second digit in your number.
  6. Repeat again for the third digit in your code number.
I hope this helps out,

Chris
