It seems that one of the pieces (possible a set screw) has come loose inside of the handle of my trolling motor. The handle spins all the way around and I have to find the different speeds. It is still usable but annoying to use. What parts do I need to order to fix this problem? What is the cause of this?

Its possible your set screw has come out. If you can find the holes to line it up Just keep turning the handle till you see a hole on the inside and get a screw to go into it. Really not sure if this will repair it without seeing it.You may need a bright flash light to see this. If there is still a screw in the handle its possible it may have broken off and needs removing to find the hole on the inside.

SOURCE: my brother inlaw got a minkota 40ta all terraine

I would check the battery. If you're using an old or under charged battery you will loose power for sure. Make sure you're also using a 12v deep cycle marine battery as this will ensure proper operation and a longer battery life.

SOURCE: i cant seem to figure out how to take my prop off

I had the same problem tonight. I wound up getting it off by appling a diagional pressure to the prop. That held the shaft screw. Then my Dad turned the wing nut with a neddle nose pliars conter clockwise and it came right off.

My problem and probably yours too is once inside there is a pin holding the prop to the shaft that was broken. I don't know how to get the new pin back in since it is inside the prop with no access from the outside.

SOURCE: Trolling motor stays on same speed no matter where

I just recently had a simialr problem. No speed control and motor only ran at 100. I talked to the minn kota tech rep and sent him my control board and he said it had a bad potentiometer...however, I had to buy a control board to fix the problem ($215). Hate to say it but sounds like you may need a new control board.

I have a intel trolling motor. It will not run in fwd speeds for more than a few seconds. Reverse just fine.

If your Intel trolling motor is not running properly in forward speeds, there may be a few possible causes. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is fully charged and in good condition. A weak battery can cause the trolling motor to malfunction.
  2. Check the propeller: Make sure the propeller is free of debris and damage. A damaged propeller can cause the motor to lose power or fail to operate properly.
  3. Check the wiring: Make sure the wiring connections between the battery and the trolling motor are secure and free of corrosion. Loose or corroded connections can cause the motor to lose power or operate improperly.
  4. Check the speed control: If the speed control is malfunctioning, it can cause the motor to lose power or shut off. Check the speed control and replace it if necessary.
  5. Check the motor: If none of the above steps solve the problem, there may be an issue with the motor itself. You may need to have the motor serviced or replaced.
It's important to note that trolling motors can be dangerous and should be handled with care. If you're unsure about any of these steps, it's best to consult a professional or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Loose handle

There is a long vertical handle held to the door by two short horizontal pieces. Run your finder along the under side of the two short pieces and feel for a very small indentation under each one. Each one is a set screw with an Allen head. Insert a small Allen wrench (English not Metric -- I don't know the size, but it is probably the next to the smallest in the set) into each one and back them out (counterclockwise looking up at the screw). The big vertical handle should come off when you back the Allen screws out far enough Now look into the short pieces sticking out from the door. Inside each one is a Philips screw holding the piece to the door. Tighten those screws with a small Philips screw driver making sure that the indents on the front of pieces will align with the vertical bar when you put it back on. When the Philips screws are tight, put the vertical bar back on and tighten the Allen screws. If you have some Loc-Tite, you might use that as well.

I have grohe geneva 20 801 faucet. How do I remove the handle lever (part 45 790)? I removed the decorative cover (45 783) over lever and also the screw inside the handle and lossened piece below it but...

None of the above solution pertains to Grohe 20 801. What I did was ...
After undo the phillips head screw inside the decorative piece, pour a lot of lime away into the hole, flooding the hole if possible, wait a while. The parts are just bound together with deposits after years of wear and tear. Now, take a hammer and use the prying end to pry up the handle with all your might and you hope it would come out. The handle came up for me after working it loose for about an hour.

Door handle

the inside handle and otside both work the release seperate.
what you need to do is take the door panel off the inside by a couple screws (usually in the arm rest) and several plastic clips
around the perimiter which will pull out when you pry out on the panel. You can do this carefully with a screw driver but the proper
fork tool from parts store will be easier. look inside door at latch
and see if your piece is broke or possibly the rod may have just come out and need to be put back in place. If your handle piece is broke it is easy to replace once your inside the door.
