Smurfs Village will not load, it gets to the Capcom screen and then goes back to iTouch home screen. Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

Papa smurf wants me to take a pix of the village. How do I do this?

On the Village screen:

1. press the Hammer button on bottom right corner.
2. The build menu will pop up.
3. There is a Camera icon at the top center edge. press it.
4. Will bring you back to the main village, and now the camera icon is
located in the bottom left corner. Press it.
5. Viola!

Smurf game going to the orange "beeline" screen

We have the same issue.

Surfs village is stuck at the orange beeline starup screen.

We've restarted our ipad2, and logged into different game center accounts, yet it is still frozen and won't get past the orange beeline screen.

Hi, since my last update i cnnot load the smurfs application on my ipad. afte getting the capcom blue screen it revers to the home page. what can i do? thank you

The application probably needs an update. I recommend restarting the iPad and see if that helps at all. If not then as a last resort remove the app and reinstall it.

My kids were on level 19 on the smurfs game. they tell me, suddenly gargamel's picture appeared, and there was a message from papa smurf that gargamel found the village and that the smurfs have all run...

I have the same problem. Only the upper-part of my village is left, and little roads are left. Everything else is gone. I am still in level 24. Gargamel appeared, and it was like all starting over again... I just have 5 smurfs left.

It will get to the Capcom screen and then back to the iTouch homescreen. Never loads the menu to play game.

Try deleting the app, restarting the phone, and then reinstalling the app. If the app data got corrupted somehow, this should fix it. If the problem persists, the game might no longer be compatable with your current version of iOS. Try connecting the device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes. If there is an update available, install it and then check the app. If it still fails to load, try deleting it, rebooting, and reinstalling again.

itouchs and older generation iphones tend not to have enough processing power to run some of the newer games today. You click to open, the loading screen shows, and then it exits without prompting. This happens to my iphone 2g all the time. Try resetting the ipod touch and then entering the app. The reset should clear the itouch's cache and give you enough memory to run the app.

My Smurfs Village app won't start up, hangs at Capcom's intro page. Contacted Capcom about this problem, received tips on how to turn off/on again, but this didn't help. Still waiting reply Capcom on this....

Dude I get the same thing it sometimes let's me get to the menu soon as I hit play it goes black and returns to the home screen I've recently reset my iPod and had the updates even the valentines one and still not working , let us know when you get a reply coz I am not wasting my time emailing them if their going to tell me me to start again lol

Itouch applications won't turn on.

I had exactly the same problem, you have to sync them on itunes. Plug in your itouch, open itunes and make sure it is the version with an applications section in the libary. Then click on your itouch in Devices go to the end applications tab and you have to sync them. This worked for me.

I have the fix to this problem.
Open Smurf Village--> click options--->restart village---> Yes---> Yes, sure-->fast forward through all the talk to get to new village--> Plant garden--->plant crop (you will notice there are no smurfs and the crop will not be planted)--> harvet the crop to the north--> now back out of the village and back to the main screen---> Click play and there you are back at your old village with nothing missing. I have had to do this every other day since the last update.
Current phone is HTC EVO 4G

Tried idea by ramfixit (Turn off your network (settings > Wi-Fi > Off) and try opening the application) and it worked. I was on a different wifi network and it did not want to go pass the menu page. Thanks buddy.

Did you play with your device's date settings? If so, then - as per the pap smurf warning - your smurfs might have left the village.
