Assuming the drivers and other software are installed, you would open the MP Navigator application, then launch one of the following, depending on what you want to scan:

Easy PhotoPrint
Presto! PageManager
Scansoft OmniPage SE

Reference: page 91 of the User's Guide.

SilverCrest Negative Scanner not opening on Macbook

If you are unable to open the SilverCrest Negative Scanner software on your Macbook, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the system requirements: Make sure that your Macbook meets the system requirements for the SilverCrest Negative Scanner software. If the software is not compatible with your version of macOS, it may not be able to open.
  2. Check for updates: It is possible that there is a newer version of the SilverCrest Negative Scanner software available that is compatible with your Macbook. You can check for updates by visiting the manufacturer's website or checking for updates through the software itself.
  3. Reinstall the software: If the software is installed but not opening, you may need to uninstall and reinstall it. To do this, you can follow these steps:
  • Open the "Applications" folder and locate the SilverCrest Negative Scanner software.
  • Drag the software icon to the trash.
  • Empty the trash and restart your Macbook.
  • Download and install the latest version of the software from the manufacturer's website.
  1. Check for other issues: If you have tried the above steps and the software is still not opening, there may be other issues causing the problem. These could include problems with the software itself, conflicts with other programs on your Macbook, or hardware issues. In this case, you may need to seek further assistance from the manufacturer or a technical support professional.

I have silver crest slide and negative scanner, when I try to open it on my MacBook pro i get the message no scanner connected although it is connected

I can think of two possible issues. Assuming that the USB ports work on the MacBook Pro with other devices, try a new USB cable. It's a basic USB 2.0 A to micro-b cable. (See https://www.cablestogo.com/learning/connector-guides/usb#USBMicroB for the shape.) Two:
the scanner driver is not compatible with the version of the Mac OS version on your Mac Pro. The OS compatibility list for the Silvercrest SND 3600 C2 is for Mac OSX 10.6-10.11 is available here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1395182/Silvercrest-Snd-3600-C2.html?page=83#manual . The D3 version works with Mac OSX 10.6 and higher.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the full model number of the slide and negative scanner and OS version on your MacBook Pro.

Cindy Wells
(By the way, if you are using a USB A (F) to USB C (M) adapter or a USB hub, that could be another source of communication failure between the scanner and the MacBook Pro. Try a direct connection or a different adapter.)

How to use my Umax Astra 3600 Scanner on my MacBook?

I think you are out of luck.
There doesn't appear to be a Umax produced driver for this scanner for the current Mac range - in fact it looks as though they stopped with OS9.1 - quite some time ago now.
Normally I would direct you to Vuescan from Hamrick as they have produced drivers for more scanners than you can shake a stick at - only trouble is that they do not list your particular Umax in the list of over 50 Umax scanners they support.

Hi Try using the software called Vuescan by Hamrick Software.. www.hamrick.com I think.
It will recognize the scanner and work with OS 10.4 and UP. Although I am not sure about 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Driver acer flatbed 13 for mac

Go to http://www.hamrick.com/ or search for "VueScan".  It is a generic scanning program that will allow you to use the Acer scanner with the MacBook.  I think it costs about $30 (US).  I had the same problem with an old Acer scanner that had no drivers for OS-X and VueScan solved it.
