I pushed the wrong button and now my web cam tool bar is gone

Hi I have a toshy
the web cam can be tricky
type web cam into search bar in main left program bar
you should see a vertical bar come up

toshiba laptops are good machines but more querky than others

One detected the web cam will be installed by itself if the software is in place ( intalled earlier to the web cam being plugged in.)
Now there will be an icon of the web cam on the desktop or you can select program and choose the web cam and right click to send the icon to the desktop.
Click on the iccon and the web cam will open. adjust properly according to the properties in the tool bar and you are ready to shoot or communicate via web.

You lost your navigation tool bar. Not to worry. open the firefox. Click view (3 rd button on the second line at the top). Then Click on toolbars. On the pop out that opens on the side, click on the Navigation tool bar, and you will see a tick mark appear on the left hand side. You will now have your address bar, forward, back etc.as earlier.

4.Inthe next page: in the orange side-bar to the left you will find your webcam model & 2 buttons. Click the button labelled "Driver For PC".This will start the download of the installer for your web cam.

4. In the next page: in the orange side-bar to the left you will find your web cam model & 2 buttons. Click the button labelled "Driver For PC". This will start the download of the installer for your web cam.

You need to set cam up with msn

After you start Windows Live Messenger,
expand the view by clicking on the square
on top left next to the red X.
Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the
right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click
on “Show the Menu Bar”.
Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on Action.
Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting
and follow the instructions.

Like with most laptop web cams the supplier doesn't always install usable software. As long as it opens and you can see yourself the cam will work with any of the know messaging programs. To use it independently of the internet, go into the control panel and system and then hardware and find the manufacturer of the web cam device itself, ie logitec. Then go to that companies web page, and most have some free web cam software that you can download and use for creating video on the laptop.

• Open Windows Messenger
• Login with you Windows Live ID
• Below your user name is a tool bar select the right-most option Show Menu
• Select Tools - Audio and Video Setup
• Follow the instructions in the wizard
• On completion you should see yourself via the webcam (adjust setting for brightness/ angle)

• If this does not work ((this is not for the faint of heart so be careful, if you are unsure how to check this then ask for live help)) then go to the Windows start menu and in the Run box type services.msc and Enter.
• Scroll down until you see two services LVComser and LVservlauncher and if either is shown as disabled then double-click to open the service
• Change the Startup Type to Automatic and hit Apply.
• Open again and select the Start button to start the service or restart your PC.
