If you don't have the software on a backup disk you made from your previous system, try going to the Fisher-Price website, look for 'Support' and you may be able to find a download of the missing disk there.

Fisher Price doesn't actually have a download for it but they do have a section where you can order the replacement disc for $2.50+shipping/handling. Came out to $7.45 for me. Here is the direct link... https://store.mattel.com/ProductParts.as...

Reset your Apple's Original Admin Password.

Resetting the original administrator account password Follow these steps to reset a password when there is only one administrator account on the computer, or if the original administrator account needs a password reset. "Original" administrator account refers to the one that was created immediately after installing Mac OS X. If the original administrator password is known, that administrator account may be used to reset the passwords of other administrator accounts using the steps described above. These steps require an optical drive; if your Mac does not have an optical drive and you have a Mac OS X v10.6 Install disc, see below.
  1. Start up from a Mac OS X Install disc (one whose version is closest to the version of Mac OS X installed). Usually, you can start from the disc by putting it in your computer, restarting, and holding the C key. Or, put it in the computer and click the Install or Restore icon you see in the disc's main window (after which the computer will start from the disc without you needing to hold C). Or, you can use Startup Manager or the Startup Disk preference pane to select the Install disc.
Choose a language, click the arrow button to continue,
  2. Mac OS X v10.6 or later: Choose Password Reset from the Utilities menu.
Mac OS X v10.5 or v10.4: Choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu.
Mac OS X v10.3: Choose Reset Password from the Installer menu.
Tip: If you don't see this menu or menu choice, you're probably not started from the disc yet.
Note: The default keyboard layout is U.S. English while started from the installation disc. If you use a keyboard layout other than U.S English, use the Input menu (the flag icon on the right side of the menu bar) to select the desired layout before typing a new password.
Select your Mac OS X hard disk volume.
  3. Select the user name of your original administrator account.
Important: Do not select "System Administrator (root)". This is actually the root user. You should not confuse it with a normal administrator account.

  4. Enter a new password.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click the red button in the upper left corner to quit the application.
  7. Choose Quit Mac OS X Installer... from the Mac OS X Installer menu.
  8. Click Restart.
After following these steps, you'll want to also follow the steps in this article.
Mac OS X v10.6: Resetting the original administrator account password on a Mac that has no optical drive
These steps require a second computer that has an optical drive.
Note: If the second computer is a Mac, make sure Mac OS X v10.5.3 or later is installed. If the second computer is a PC, make sure the DVD or CD Sharing Update 1.0 for Windows is installed.
  1. Open "Remote Install Mac OS X" from the Utilities folder.
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions.

I have a logitech keyboard. I used to have the green volume control pop up on my computer screen but it no longer does. My volume still goes up and down but I have no idea where I am.....same with the caps...

This is not a feature built into Windows, it has to be installed separately. So if you have reinstalled your system, or otherwise got rid of the original Logitech driver, and really want this functionality, you have to re-install the driver that came with the keyboard. If you don't have the disc anymore, you can go to Logitech website, find and download the driver there.

However, if the adjustment works, I would re-think the need to install something non-essential on your system; the more gadgets you have installed and running in the background, the slower the computer gets...

Good luck, and please come back with a rating/testimonial if helped :)

I recently bought the fisher price computer cool school and have just relised its not compatible with my mac computer is there anything im able to do to make it run on my mac

You can try setting up Bootcamp (ie run windows on your mac), or try software such as "Parrallels". The latter option costs money, but also allows you to install windows (you need a windows CD). Once windows is installed by either of the above options, you can then install and run the softwarethat came with the Cool School Keyboard

Buttons on computer cool school keyboard not

Hello sir/ma'am good day, you seem to have trouble with your FPC keyboard, like any other keyboard they will eventually fail, they get dirty inside, or due to abuse of use, but are repairable. keyboard usually have access screws under, you have to remove each one to open the back plate. be careful cause there are little pieces of rubbers, springs and button that you may loose during the opening of the lid, locate the trouble button and clean the contact plate, you may use clean cloth or contact cleaner solution, not alcohol. after you are done reassemble the keyboard. test. hope this helps, if ever you need more assisstance feel free to ask. thanks

Software for Fisher price cool school will not download in my computer. I have followed all the directions in the manuel but it will not download.

I had the same problem. We returned the game twice, and tried the third one on three computers before one worked. Knowing that the game did actually work gave me confidence. I brought the game back home and tried it again on my laptop (running windows xp). Plugged in the keyboard, loaded the software... same result "missing keyboard". I left the keyboard plugged in, went to my "control panel" and chose "add hardware". I let windows choose the fix. Now the game works great and was a fantastic hit with our 4 year old granddaughter and 2 year old grandson. Fisher Price should add this fix to their website. Good Luck!
