My LG WM2487HRM has the OE code. It completed wash cycle, stopped at rinse cycle and timed out because it will not drain within the 10 min. Once I manually drained water, checked drain pump filter, which was completely clean, still does not drain. After water out of tub, washer would complete spin cycle also. I checked hose - no problems there. How do I get to drain pump to check for foreign objects, etc.

Stops in cycle, not sure if its when rinsing? I notice it stops and an error code of OE ?

This error code OE means the tub is not fully drained 10 minutes after the drain pump is turned on.This is possibly due to a clogged/kinked drain hose or the drain filter is blocked. Make sure the drain hose is clear then open the filter door located at the bottom left front of the machine. Drain the remaining water from the tub through the emergency drain hose located in the filter door area. Once completely drained, turn the knob counterclockwise then pull out and clean the filter. Reach in the pump impeller area and turn it with your finger. Replace the drain pump if the filter is clear and the impeller is broken or restricted and cannot be freed.

I am working on an LG front load washer model number WM1812CW. It will go all the way through a cycle one time. The next time it will stop between the wash and rinse cycle with an error code of OE....

Hi jerryleigers,

The Drain pump is working intermittently. It is either overheating or a loose wire is present or it could even just be a faulty drain pump. I'd suggest removing it (Found attached to the lower sump hose), testing it by aplying direct power to the 2 pins (either way is fine, it works on an alternating current), run it for 5 to 10 min (turning it on and off every 30 seconds), if it is fine then it is a worst case scenario (PCB). If it is not running well, or it is not even starting - replace it, problem solved.

Hope it helps :-)

Stopping during rinse cycle . not spinning. OE light

The code OE is a draining error. The washer has sensed that the water has not completely drained all of the water within 10 minutes and will display this error code. The grinding noise you are describing is most likely a failed drain pump or clogged with foreign debris.

  1. Locate your drain pump access door on the front of the machine.
  2. Clean out the filter area.

If you are unable to resolve the issue by cleaning, I would recommend replacing the drain pump.

I have an LG washer/dryer combo wm3987h. I had the OE error which I followed instructions on how to fix now my machine comes on but it does nothing despite me picking a cycle. It does not wash, dry or...

OE = Drain error. Cause: not fully drained within 10 minutes
Check there isn't a kink in your drain hose, ensure the filter is clean, the drain hose can become clogged with sludge, sometimes a hot wash with 1/2 a cup of vinegar will remove this sludge.

Will not complete the rinse cycle and the error message is "OE"

Try using the slowest spin speed setting for a load of this type. (instead of the fastest)

Error code LE and OE

Hi there,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
