I have the same problem. After power on I just get a blue screen and no sound.
I can get a piture and sound if i do the following.
Leave the TV on for a minute or two then unplug the power while still on. Plug back in and power on. I begin to get sound, repeat and then I get a picture for a few moments then blue again. Repeat and then I get constant picture with defunct colors. I then use the remote to power off and back on an color corrects. sometimes have to repeat this as well. Sometimes it takes unplugging, replugging, and powering on up to five times before i can sit down to watch tv.
Hello there. I'm sorry to say that it sounds as if the element that actually energizes your screen is bad. It is most likely overheating. or quite poosible the power converter lost a resistor or 2.
Resetting the TV NOTE: Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time. 1.Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet. 2.Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...) 3.Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds. 4.Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV. 5.Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again. 6.Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices. 7.Turn on the TV.
I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
