Deleting songs is there away to delete songs straight from the sandisk its self?

    the problem is my windows won't read it at all i can't access folders or nothing. it keeps showing that my mp3 file is blocked.

    yes it is just the music. if there is away to just clear everything i don't mind starting from scratch. is there away of reformatting?

Well Kira, if you mp3 player is an e200 or up, you press the bottom button under the blue circle while playing the song. it will take you to small menu where it will say delete song. if you accept, it will ask, delete song? then you say yes.

Not exaclty, deleting songs has to be done when recharging through the usb port on your pc or laptop.

Once connected you should see and icon or folder(Sansa E260) pop up on you desktop representing your player which can be opened and contains your playlists, individual songs, and any media you may have transferred.

Within this window you can move songs, edit lists and if necessary delete any unwanted items.

    The music itself? You may have to change the permissions or update your firmware.the downside- updating firmware is just like reformatting, and will erase everything on your player.

Freezing up while playing songs Check and see if there is a boot file in any of the folders on the player use the Explorer to check Check both MTP and MSC modes and unhook your player

SanDisk freezes when trying to play a song, then it restarts itself.

Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders them selfs then format a couple of times hope this works.........Try and drag and drop from your music folder to the media folder on the player make sure usb mode is mtp this will show you all the folders Use your windows explorer for the transfer... much easier.....
Then disconnect from your computer and see if it worked

hmm... try hooking it up to the pc, go to my computer find the mp3 click explore go to music and select it all and delete it then try again it might help
