Inlet/drain light remains on

Have followed the intruction ooklet, turned the dial to stop turned the machine off and then on again. Checked the flow of water intake, is normal.Cleaned the filter and beneath that taken the non return valve out and washed out, no kink in the hose. I feel that it might be something to do with the inlet hose, after opening the casing on the filter it appears to be full a dark green molded colour (it maybe it is suppose to be like this). The pump sounds to let the water out of hte machine, so I don't think there os a blockage. If there are any ideas please let me know, otherwise will have to scrap it, which is a shame.

I have the same problem on a Miele G647 SC Plus. It starts and completes the wash cycle, might skip a final rinse - not sure, but it drains the water. Pump then continues to run for extended period then inlet/outlet light comes on. The dishwasher never moves to the drying cycle.

I cleaned all filters, checked supply/drain hoses + the non return valve. All seemed servicable. But no real improvement in fault.

Any way I can fix this?

My G647SC PLUS has had the same symptoms with several week intervals. Now finally solved. Unplug the machine. Take off the metal front plate at the bottom of the machine - first remove the plastic cover under the door near bottom, two size 2 Pozidrives, then you get at the steel cover, again two size 2 Pozidrives, a bit harder to get at, you may have to lower the door. After removing the screws, gently lift the cover from low edge and it will come off. If the well under the machinery is dry, check the float sensor which is the white round flat-bottomed device near the front by removing the plug cover, the plug itself and finally the float sensor itself. Open it by releasing the two catches and check that the microswitch is not permanently activated by the styrox floating device. In my case it was, probably the styrox had lost some of its form but I managed to reinstalled it in such a way that it released the switch. I checked that by lifting the styrox the microswitch activates. Re-installed and run the machine, works fine now.

If the well is wet, then you have a leak in the draining system and need to replace the gaskets and/or the pump itself.

I have a G647 SC plus. Fantastic dishwasher. Very quiet. If you have an inlet/drain fault, the fault I had was a faulty Non return valve. You remove it when checking the impeller by taking out the bottom strainer, fliping the wire catch and lifting the non-return valve housing off.

If you can blow into the pipe easily, the valve is faulty. In my case the rubber boot had rotted. You can temporarily fix this by twisting the valve apart, getting the rubber boot out, and trimming away all the rubber (put the modified rubber back in) so that the metal ball seals on the bottom of the plastic housing instead. It makes a bit more noise, but it will get you out of trouble until get a new check valve delivered. Part number 5269111 for G647 SC. inlet/drain light remains on - 19b5168c-06e2-4eaa-b5c8-4cd44e1f6b16.png 8bd22d47-7004-4aca-a997-980a516ca883.png

I had the same problem with a different model with a persistent inlet drain light flash and a continuous running pump.

Checked the pump in the bottom had blades and wasn't blocked or obstructed (on mine take out the bottom strainer, flip the catch and lift the non-return valve housing off). Checked the drains were clear by putting a hose in where the non-return valve outlet goes (teh hose was a good sealign fit - standard garden hose) and running a decent flow down the drain. It all worked, no flood or other nasty. Put the machine back together and put a few cups of water in and turned it on - it drained. OK the drain pump was working.

Checked the water supply had pressure and flow. Descaled the inlet filter in the feed head on the tap (soaked it in vinegar for a while then rinsed and blew it clear). Still the flashing light.

Turned off and disconnected the electricity supply. Opened the front bottom plate of the machine. There was water standing in the drip tray at the very bottom of the machine. Dried the tray with a handful of paper towels. Put it back together. it ran fine.

I conclude that I need to replace the pump seals.

good luck with yours. rupertvdP

- Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
- Verify inlet valve operation
• If there is water in the unit:
- Verify Drain pump operation
- Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch

When the load is finished my washer turns off the light stays on and I can't start it up again or turn the light off until I unplug it and turn it back on. If i don't use it right away it sto

You can do this provided you understand the operation.Possible fault in the control panel or a error due to non overhauling. Now it is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Check this link to replace the inlet valve:

http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1408/how-to-replace-the-inlet-valve-on-a-washer-dr.html

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

I have a misled g843scvi dishwasher. The intake/ drain light is flashing, machine start then fails. Any ideas

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The first thing that should be checked is if its draining properly as it could be that the drain hose is clogged and needs to be cleaned. The drain pump also should not be clogged. Also the stopcock should be opened fully and the water inlet valve should be checked for any clogs. Also the metal filter, impeller cover and the air gap unit should be checked. After checking this you can reset the error as follows: turn the rotary selector switch to "Stop/End" or press the "Start/Stop" switch for approx. 5 secs. Then switch the appliance off and then back on again. Please revert back for further assistance.

Thanks

Whenever I use it ,it stops at 15' and the delay button will be flashing, If I swicth if off and start again it will start again from 15' and stops without draining the clothes. Please help!

Please check the inlet flow at the inlet valve and also the water level sensor. If the water flow is low then the time taken will be more and so it can cause errors.
So remove and clean the inlet valve/filters , check the water level sensor and also check fianlly the drain pump for dirt clogging and not allowing free flow drain.
Finally check the controller outputs with a meter to confirm the program controller.

WFS1071AW is my type of whirlpool front loader

Hello baud Welcome,
You said the water entry into the machine is fine with nothing blocking it. But you keep getting the red light on for "water tap closed". At one point the water did start flowing in but soon stopped and turn on the warning light again. Please suggest how to fix it??

I believe this sounds like the screens are dirty and stopping water flow so it shuts down!
Dry all of the below suggestions.

Washer displaying code message and or tone sounds
“F20” (Water Inlet Problem—no water or insufficient
water supply)
First:
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug
washer or disconnect power.Leave power off for 5 minutes. This will reset the system!
Check the following:
Are water faucets completely turned on?
*****Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer clogged?
Remove hose from washer an clean screens at water inlet!

Are water inlet hoses kinked?
Are water inlet hoses frozen?
Plug in washer or reconnect power. Re-select cycle and press
START. If the problem remains, call for service.

Let me know how you do.
Thank You Huuum
