You can order the following.
http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=5A9ADB3CA5CA7304
I went to crucial.com and input your system and they have the following ram for your system.
you can max out to 8GB of ram however if you do not have a 64bit computer the additional memory will be useless unless you upgrade your OS to windows 7 64bit

Newegg has a great site to find the correct and most compatible memory for you Here.
To maximize your ram speed, use the same speed and types of ram

For example, if you have a 1GB right now, add three more 1GB than putting in a 2GB and 1GB.
If you have a 4GB ram stick right now, add another 4GB and not 2x2GB. Also make sure the MHz on the ram is the same, (1333, 1600, 2000)

Enjoy upgrading your computer!

What is the process to add additional memory to my 4GB laptop?

You will need to follow these steps:
1. Determine which type of memory your laptop uses (DDR,DDR2,DDR3)
2. Determine how much memory you would like to add
3. Purchase the memory
4. Install. The memory is typically installed in the underside of your laptop. You will have to take the bottom off, take out the old memory, and install the new one

I just purchased a new Acer Aspire AS7741G-6426 Laptop. I want to upgrade from 4GB memory to 8GB memory. I need to know what brand and specs to look for.

Just refer to your laptop manual. If your manual got lost go to the  acer website and find your product and download the manual.http://www.acer.com.ph/ac/en/PH/content/home .

when upgrading your memory you have to consider the following:

the processor: if your processor has 4gb compatibility mem you can upgrade upto 6 to 8gb.

take note that you must not exceed to 8gb or else your processor might be damage.

get the processor speed: example core 2 i3 processor, 1.0GHZ-the frequency.

the Memory or RAM(random access memory): get ther specification: example is DDR1 or DDR3

PC133 or PC 400. Thats all.

Note: your current memory must have the same memory module(example PC400,PC 133)  or else it wont work.if your going to upgrade your current 4gb PC400 you have to add 4gb memory in PC400 module also.

I have a m4a78lt-m motherboard will kingston ddr3 1600 4gb khx1600c9d3b1k2/4gx memory work with 32bit os I am putting a system togather have purchased the mother board and memory now i am questing if it...

This motherboard uses DDR3-SDRAM, ECC and non-ECC, unbuffered, PC3-10600(1333mhz) or PC3-8500(1066mhz), dual channel architecture (two sticks at a time), and a max memory of 8Gs.
This are the specs for your ram: 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC
(Kit of 2) Intel XMP HyperX = DDR3-1600
    Default = DDR3-1333 CL9-9-9-27
    CL9-9-9 1.65V
    1.5V

In other words, Yes! This should work just fine. The ram will just run at its default speed of 1333mhz.

Want to add ddr3 memory to my p5qc board

    Hello
The motherboard supports DDR3 1333/1066/800 MHz or DDR2 memory 1066/800/667 MHz to meet the higher bandwidth requirements of the latest operation system, 3D graphics, multimedia, and Internet applications. The dual-channel DDR3/DDR2 architecture doubles the bandwidth of your system memory to boost system performance, eliminating bottlenecks with peak bandwidths of up to 19.2 GB/s.
DDR2 1066MHz DIMMs work only on the black slots for one DIMM per channel
2 x DIMM, Max. 8 GB, DDR3 1333/1066/800 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory 4 x DIMM, max. 16GB, DDR2 1066 / 800 / 667 MHz, Non-ECC, Un-buffered memory Dual channel memory architecture When installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more, Windows® 32-bit operation system may only recognize less than 3GB. Hence, a total installed memory of less than 3GB is recommended DDR2 1066MHz DIMMs work only on the black slots for one DIMM per channel. Ensure to install the DDR2 1066MHz DIMMs ONLY on the BLACK slots! Refer to www.asus.com or this user manual for the Memory QVL(Qualified Vendors Lists). When installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more, Windows® 32-bit operation system may only recognize less than 3GB. Hence, a total installed memory of less than 3GB is recommended.
    Hope this helps
