Hello

I managed to find a PDF manual for your VCR Combo, However i couldnt find anything to indicate a reason for the Cst in light flashing. I did find however find that the TIMER REC Light flashes if T-SET is pressed for a timer recording, but there is no tape in the DVD/VCR. It also flashes when all timer recordings or One-Touch Recordings are finished. So possibly this could be the light you see flashing.

The PDF can be found Here

Hope this helps

Power light keeps blinking Red and TV will not turn on

Is the light blinking constantly or is there a long pause then more blinking. If constant check the lamp door switch . Usually it is broken or jammed. If you jumper it and the set comes on that it. 4 blinks is bad fan.

What is CST? light keeps blinking and the power won't stay on. how do i get it to turn off?

There are lots of meaning of CST, it could be:

- Central Standard Time
- Computer Simulation Technology
- Cell Signaling Technology

I'm not sure, but I have not heard of TV that requires to have a time settings. If the TV needs it, then it could be the Central Standard Time.

However, flashing light could mean that there is a lamp failure that shuts down the high voltage supply to your screen.

Check back lights ( there are small diameter lamps behind the LCD screen). Replace the defective back lights and that should fix the problem.

But if you're not sure about checking it, I would suggest to contact the manufacturer or a local repair shop and have them repair it.

Good luck!

My toshiba 42HL167 won't turn on

Try this fix from the toshiba website. Q. I have no picture or sound, but I have a blinking power light?

1. Try resetting the TV by disconnecting the power for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. If this has no
effect, try moving the TV to a different power outlet that has been tested and is known to be good.
2. If your unit continues to fail, please contact our Customer Solutions Department at 1-800-631-3811 Monday
through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 7 pm CST for a local Toshiba Authorize Service Station Hope this helps you with your problem.

CST In light is flashing green

I had the same problem. Aren't three-year-olds great? Mine had jammed several clothing tags into the VCR slot. Clearing them out didn't solve the problem, but I then took the outer case off (with power disconnected of course) and verified that there was no physical damage to the tape heads and that everything internally was clear. I put the case back on, and everything's back to normal.
