Hello....My name is Keith.....Please give me one moment and I will start to address the issue. Thank You....
STill looking at the print.....are all other functions operating? Any error codes? Lights blinking?
If so what are they?
Will the final spin light come on?
Will the final spin light come on?
Changing out the bearings and shocks tells me we had a lot of vibration going on in there....not unusual for some type of electronics to go bad. Solder joints, wires, wiring connections etc.
Looks as if the speed control unit may be bad.
Let me check further.....
When it is suppse to be in high speed is the timer advancing?
That is the next step if the timer is advancing
Sorry.buddy....print indicates Motor control unit.
Everything else works....timer is advancing, speed switch is made (open)
Only thing left.....Motor control unit
Not unless you can jump out the circuit on the board....but we would need the schematic for the board to do that.
Here is the link to the part you need. You can get to it by taking off the back panel....should be on the left hand side when facing the back.Lower left hand corner.
Click on the link http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdir...
Part number four on the drawing
You were back there working right? Check all the wire connections back there
I hate giving bad news like this.....I'll continue to check the print....but I dont see how we can check the board.....Maybe take it out and look at it....look for burnt marks....broken solder joints.
Repairclinic.com has a 1 year no questions asked return policy on all of their parts. They are a little pricey but you cant find that type of warranty anywhere. Even if your machine goes down again in the next year, and you buy a new one....send the board back with receipt and get your 100% refund.

Usually answered in minutes!
ok what do I do next
No blinking lights. It does not have a display to show any error codes.
It is about 7-8 yrs old.
all other functions seem fine. It just doesn't speed up in the spin cycle
it just keeps tumbling slowly one way and then the other
it only has a door lock light. No final spin light.
wondering if their is a way to test the speed control unit
as think they are quite expensive and don't want to buy
one on spec.
I don't think so . If it is it's very slow and then when the spin
cycle is almost finished it advances quickly to the final
slow tumble back and forth for a couple of minutes then
advances to off,
is that the same as speed control. Attached to the bottom
right rear when viewed from the front? anyway ro test it?
Yes I was when I replaced the back half of the tub
with the bearings. Everything was working fine for
a week or so . Anyway I'll check it all again and try
it one more time. If it still doesn't spin high speed
I guess I'll have to buy the board. Would have been
better to buy a new machine as now the parts have
cost me almost as much.Win some lose some I
guess.Anyway thanks for the help.
Yes I will take it out after the next cycle if it's still not working
which I believe will be the case. You can Email me direct
[email protected] if you think of anything else
Yes and no. As good as it gets I guess
Ok thanks but since I live in Canada the shipping might be costly.
I'll check prices locally and go from there
Just checked their website. They do not ship internationally
