No display Last night we had a power outage. Now this morning the Acer AL1912 screen is black, the power light is blinking green and we cannot even turn it off with the power button. We have unplugged all connection and replugged, but still nothing.... Any suggestions?
Your minitors power supply is now damaged, probably from the power outage. I t will need to be repaired or replaced. Check the cost and benifits of both options and make a discision.

The black display and blinking power light indicate a failure of the power supply filter capacitors. This is a common issue on LCD monitors after a few years of use. The repair is easy to do you will need to open the unit and replace the bad capacitors on the power supply board. Here is a link to an article explaining what capacitors are and how to locate the one that failed on the power supply board.
Sounds like the monitor is dying, if it starts to die more and more often you will likely have to replace your monitor before it goes completely out. There are not many ways for a user to repair a monitor, unless the problem is with the computer, which you could test by connecting a different monitor to the computer for a while (if available). Hope this helps!
Try a different video card or disconnect the one you have in your PC and use the VGA monitor connection on the motherboard. If it works your video card is gone.
Firstly check the power cables nd VGA port is it proper or not nd then if this is proper then ur problem might be in RAM remove the ram and rub it with eraser nd insert it again nd check CMOS battery also ....u will surely get a positive result....
