Needle goes in but will not run look like the needlie getting stuck on the plate but when you pull out a whole bunch of theads come out w/it

This really sounds like it is a simple top threading problem. Please check your threading path at the take-up lever #3 of the 4 steps. If the thread comes out of the take-up lever or it was missed during threading, the machine does not receive any top tension. No top tension means that the machine is being flooded with thread and wrapping around the shuttle hook.... jamming up.
If your machine is currently threaded, leave it threaded follow the thread from the spool through the first thread guide at #1 straight down to #2 and up to #3 (make sure that the thread is through the take-up lever (silver hook) at #3 from three you will bring the thread straight down to the thread guide that is to the left of the needle. Thread the needle from front to back.
I know this sounds too simplistic but it happens to even professional sewers.
