Hi, I have d-link dsl 2760u model router which i try to bridge with airties wav275. Airties is primary, connected to internet. On both modems bridge is enabled and defined mac adresses. However d-link does not allow connection to internet over airties. I successfully connect internet via wifi over airties but with dlink I can't. I'm very sure airties configured properly because I have another bridge to airties - airties rt205. And I connect very good with rt205. Is there any known issue dlink has problem with wireless bridges? I have tried another way around. I connected dlink to internet and rt205 as bridge and I connected very well over both modems. So I might have missed something configuring dlink or maybe dlink is not compatible that sort of bridge. Really drives me crazy. And user manual is very inadequate. Channel of all modems are 1. They al working on 20 MHz. Need your help.

SOURCE: Configuring DLink Wifi router for Reliance broadband

Reliance Wimax will be Dynamic (DHCP)

Step 1 :

Connect the Wimax wire from the wall outlet (power adapter provided by Reliance) to the computer directly. The computer must be in DHCP mode.
Check the IP Address of the Computer. It should be a public IP Address.

Step 2 :

Open a web browser. If you try to open any page, it will take you directly to the Reliance Broadnet Login page. Login with your Reliance User ID and Password. Then Log out.
Close the web browser.

Step 3 :

Now, connect the wimax wire to the WAN Port on the Router and the computer to any LAN port. You can open the Router Setup Page. Do MAC Cloning. Then, save changes. Run DHCP on the Router.
Also you can configure wireless network, by changing the SSID and security.

Step 4 :

On the wired computer, open web browser, go to Reliance Broadnet login page and login and start enjoying the service.

One problem, you might face is when the Router is turned off in between. You may have to repeat the Steps 1,2 & 3 to get the connection back.

SOURCE: Connecting 2 routers (ASUS WL-500W and D-Link DSL-G604T Wireless)

This will give you a "Double NAT" setup. Meaning, Your D-Link router is connected to the external internet address assigned to you by your internet service provider. More than likely this is a DHCP address you do not control. Your D-Link router is then translating the address to the 192.168.1.x network. This is the first NAT translation. You are then connecting the ASUS router to DLINK, causing a second NAT translation. (Internet ADSL --> D-Link WAN Port --> D-Link Lan Port --> ASUS WAN Port --> ASUS Lan Port to computer/server/etc. ) If both of your routers are giving out DHCP addresses, then this is all that is required.

SOURCE: Can't get Trendnet TEW-432 router to connect to internet with motorola modem

I had this same problem. I was going to go ahead and call ATT and ask them to put my modem into bridge mode, but I messed around a bit more....

I went ahead and turn on PPPoE...tried to run the set up again. Well it worked. Not the internet connection is working through the modem. For some reason, the setup changed PPPoE back to DHCP Client, but it's working now. Give this a shot before calling ATT if you like. Good luck.

D-link DGL-4500 is not accessing my dsl modem

make sure the dsl modem is in bridge mode. you do this by connecting directly to the modem then accessing modem configuration page. after doing this connect the way everything was before. now go to router admin page, then setup tab at the top, then choose internet, manual setup. in the place where its says my internet connection is select PPPoE. then put in your dsl username, password and etc. save settings. this should fix the problem
