I have songbird and it doesn't convert video files for me. I was told I need to download a file convertor in order to convert mine. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good one out there. I have the Philips GoGear Ariaz 16gb mp4 player. Some of my videos play and then others won't because it says they aren't supported. Any help is appreciated!

I couldn't find any flavor of MP4 or WMV that would work either. I eventually had to use Philips Songbird software. It will both convert and sync the video files.

Download Songbird here:http://www.usa.philips.com/c/mp3-media-player/22126/cat/en/#/difference/philipssongbird.

Video component

If you check in your owners manual, it will tell you that movie formats are not supported. See quote from your owners manual below (so basicly only picture and music formats are supported on your USB input).
"Only FAT (DOS) formatted (initialized) portable memory is
supported. Errors in this formatting can result in unreadable
content. If such problems appear try to re-format the card. Be
aware that formatting the card will also delete all the content on it (pictures, music, ...).
The following file types are supported: .jpg, .jpeg, .mp3, .alb, .m3u and .pls."

How To Fix You Camera's "Card Error" or "Card Not Initialized" Message

When you recieve a "Card Error" or "Card Not Initialized" message, this indicates that your memory may be temporarily corrupted. This can be due to not formatting your memory card on a consistent basis. Most consumers will use the "delete all" feature and continue to take pictures. By doing this, the file format of the card may become unstable.

We recommend formatting your memory card in your camera after saving the images from your previous shooting session. Once a memory card is formatted, the images will not be recoverable.

If this doesn't fix the Card Error, try replacing your batteries with a new, fresh pair of batteries. Also, if you haven't tried already, replace the memory card with a known working card and see if this fixes your error.

The display screen shows " file error " only.

The manual can be viewed here:

I don't see anything about a file error message, though....

Have you tried using a different memory card, or formatting the one you have?

What were you doing before this error? "Windows Imaging Format (WIM) is a file-based disk image format."

I just attached my new seagate drive and I followed all the instructions to attach to mac. I try to download movies and and I continually receive error code 1426.

Hey,

Try the disk utility under Applications --> utilities On Mac and format the new Drive.

If formatting the drive does not fix the issue then it could be a problem with the USB connector or the Drive.

Format it as NTFS or DOS if you want to use the drive in Windows.
Mac OS X by default does not support NTFS File system.

Whenever i try to play a song on my phillips gogear vibe mp3 player it sais "file format not supported' and they are mp3 files. What gives?

"File format not supported" means that the song that you've downloaded into your MP3 player is NOT an .MP3 file format. For each MP3 player have their own supported file formats. You need to check the manual of your MP3 player to see what are the supported sound file formats (i.e. .mp3, .wma, .mp4). Then check the file format of the songs that are saved in your player.

If the songs are supported but you're still getting the error message, try to delete all the songs and then download the songs again and save it into your player. If the same problem occur, then it may need a firmware upgrade or reformat.

Thank you and good luck!
