you should get a login window, username is: admin leave the password blank, and you should gain access to the router web interface.
from there you go to the wireless tab, select enable wireless security, select WPA2 and use a 10 digit code (I use an old phone number I can't forget like 8009993355) save settings and you have a secure router.

reset the router to factory default. if you are confident. it is a small button at the back. press it coupel of sec then release. Then you can reset the password.

connect it to the back of the pc,

login using the default id and password provided

1st have clean all settings? a reset button is behind nerby the power connector.
2nd change wireless passkey(use WPA2 it´s safer) and very important the router password.
