My Farberware's oven motor ran, but the element did not heat. I took the cover off, and found that a wire from the temperature control to the element had burned through near the spade connector at the element. I removed the damaged section, put the connector back on, checked voltages, and it's running fine again. However, the cloth-covered wiring in this 25+ year-old unit is looking fatigued from the years of heat. Is this type of wire available, or is there a suitable substitute?

I have the same oven plus another one. Does this model have a "ding" when the timer is finished. My other one does. I bought them both used. Love em for their size. I use them out in the garage during the summer. Keeps the heat out there
