Please tell me how to reset the time on my tom tom go720. I thought the satellites automatically do it. They do on a navman.

Reset Procedures for Garmin, Navman, Tom Tom

Garmin Master Reset NB: This will erase all way points or favourites and will restore your unit to the default factory settings.
Nuvi® 2xx, 2x5, 5xx, 6xx, or 7xx.

1. Start with the unit OFF and unplugged from power.
2. Touch and hold the lower right corner of the screen with an index finger or the eraser end of a pencil.
3. Continue touching and holding the lower right hand corner of the screen then power the unit ON.
4. Release the power button when the device powers ON.
5. You will see a new message: Do you really want to erase all user data?
6. Remove your finger from the touch screen when this message displays.
7. Touch Yes.

The device will automatically reset. Please follow the on-screen prompts on the n?vi and when completed, place your device in an area with a clear view of the sky until it acquires satellites.
Nuvi® 8xx or 5000.

1. Turn the device OFF (you will need to remove the battery from a nuvi 8xx).
2. Turn the device back ON (you will need to install the battery into the nuvi 8xx).
3. When you see a progress bar on the screen of the unit, quickly place your fingertip, or the eraser end of a pencil, in the bottom right corner of the touch screen.
4. Hold the bottom right corner of the touch screen until a message says, "Do you really want to erase all user data?"
5. Release the touch screen and touch Yes.
6. The unit will now restart.
7. Follow the onscreen prompts to set up the nuvi.

Navman S30/50/70/S80/90i.

1. To reset your device, hold down the power button for at least 10 seconds and the device will power off.
2. Press and hold the power button to turn the device back on.

1. Soft reset - select your model.
2. Reinstall TomTom application.
3. Format internal memory or memory card.

I own a Navman MY55T and I honestly don't think you have to reset date and time. I never have for mine.

I have had a look online for you for your model of Navman and could not find anything within the user manual except how to change the format display for day/month/yer or month/day/year.

My only thoughts Sync it with your computer and it may pick up your computers time and date like many other peripherals do when they sync to your computer. Or it may well automatically change when it picks up GPS info as you use it in your car.

The clock on your navigation device is automatically synchronised with the satellite clocks. You can also set the clock manually, for example when the device is indoors and unable to receive a satellite signal. The default setting is to automatically adjust the clock for the current time zone.
How to change clock settings To select the time format and to set the time, follow these steps:
Open the Main menu and tap Settings.
In the Settings menu, tap Set clock.
Select how the time should be displayed, then tap Next.
When you do not have a satellite signal, you are asked if you want to set the time manually.
Note: Since you need to be outside for your navigation device to receive a satellite signal, you might want to immediately set the time manually. The device will then set the time automatically when you next take the device outside.
Tap Yes to set the time manually or tap No to set your device to update the time automatically using GPS satellites.

have you contacted tom tom ,there web site should be able to tell you where you can get it fixed.

I don't know about the ONE, by on my GO720, the set clock button is on page 8 of preferences.

go to tomtom's website and manually download their software. Save it to your HD and run it.

The program should automaticly load the correct drivers and will prompt you when to connect the GPS.

TAKE NOTE of how long you are allowed to get free map updates and make sure you do update the maps before that time expires.

also with my GO720 I skipped an update so instead of the update costing $49 they now want double that because my maps are 2 revisions old.

TomTom website says that you have to contact them and ship it to them to get it reset.

they only way to fix it is when we travel the roads for the first i will have to put the parking bays in my poi and just keep adding them so that the next time we go on the same roads they will be in tom tom
