If the processor in your PC isn't a 64 bit processor, there is no need to install 64 bit software. You will not see any incresase in speed and will most likely just run into issues with hardware such as your video controller and audio.
Hi,
I'm afraid that you won't be able to run any 64-bit designed software on a 32bit OS. If you can't find a 32-bit version of the software you need, you change your OS or try using a Virtual Machine.
Hope it helped,
Franz
iTunes will install in Program Files (x86) even the 64 bit version. There are also iTunes files in Program Files as well. This is normal. It appears that the 64 bit version is really a hybrid of both 32 and 64 bit, the drivers mainly being 64 bit. Having itunes.exe 32* in the Task manager is normal
A lot of people are having problems with itunes 9.1. You can get 9.03 at this site. It ran flawlessly for me.
