I have a LG RHT 4967C DVD recorder and would like a copy of the user manual so I can use the USB port with my memory stick to watch a film onto my TV please. Or any information on how to use this facility.

The USB port on TV's is to record a program onto a Flash Drive/Thumb Drive, which then you can plug the Flash Drive into your Computer to watch or download it on your PC.

You can not record to a DVD, according to their manual. That is why you get the no disc error. It does not have the play sector at the beginning of the DVD. You can record to USB Flash Drive however.

Use a computer with a CD/DVD drive and a USB port. Insert an USB memory stick into this computer, and also insert the Nortons CD into this computer. Copy the contents of the Nortons CD onto the USB memory stick.
Remove the USB memory stick and insert it into the Dell mini's USB port and then install Nortons from this USB memory stick.
YOU CANT RECORD FROM A SCART TO USB, THE SCART IS IN ONLY AND ANALOGUE.
YOU SHOULD HAVE A USB PORT ON THE TV TO PLUG IN YOUR STICK OR PORTABLE HARD DRIVE
