Not satisfied. still menu, delete, qual, zoom button is still not working

You could try to do a full reset of the camera from the menu, but I don't think that will work. Since your camera is less than a year old, it is still under Nikon's warranty. Call 1-800-NIKON-US (1-800-645-6687) 9AM-8PM EST, Monday to Friday. They can advise you and provide warranty service if necessary.

Hi Guest, if the buttons themselves are depressed and cannot bounce out as the other buttons do you could try to use a super thin jewelers flat screw driver to see if you can get it to pop out. A few things going on here, grit came between the button and the body or, the item that pushes the button to its return state has lost its resiliency. If it is because of loss of resiliency the camera must go in for repairs and a good CLA.

Remove the card and battery. Clean the battery contacts inside camera with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol. Be sure battery is charged. Press all buttons on camera. Insert card and then the battery. See if it works. If you can now get into the setup menu, you can do a reset from the menu.

When in the playback menu, toggle the zoom out, as if you had already zoomed in on an object and then wanted to zoom back out. This should cause the pictures on your camera to be displayed in thumbnail mode. When you hit the trash/delete button in this viewing mode, you will be given the option to delete the entire folder's contents. You can also highlight a selection of thumbnails, then delete them all at once by choosing the "Select" option.

Upon powering on, at the user menu press the "-" zoom out key the "+" zoom in key and the repeat button which is on top of your unit. Once your in the "hidden" menu, select reset user data.. your unit will reset and everything will be clean.

You need to remove the memory card from the camcorder and place it into a pc or photo shops computer. This will allow you to view the saved items on the memory card. You can then save these to disc and delete the contents on the card.

you can just use the format menu on the setup menu

1. Set camera to playback mode and turn on.
2. Push "W" on zoom button (zoom out). (this will show you the index card)
3. Press the delete button (garbage can button)
4. Choose the top option "All In This Folder"
5. Confirm choice.

Once your in the "hidden" menu, select reset user data.. your unit will reset and everything will be clean. If your trying to delete specific addresses I would use software to sync up and explore your MRM's files.
