I have a kenmore elite HE 3t front loading washing machine. When I tried to start a cycle, it started loading water but then buzzed at the door and stopped. The door is locked and will continue to buzz every 5 seconds unless you unplug the machine. I get an error code of F dU. Any ideas of how to unlock my door?
Just in case there is a pull string with a loop, all plastic under the latch, need to pull the toe panel off and reach up inside the right, unplugged of course until you feel the switch. a pull latch is below the switch incase this happens and hats off to all star/ a serial error or a faulty switch is most of what causes this to start.

I have the same problem with the du F code.
I just unplug the maching and wait a couple of
minutes, then restart and it works fine.
Only trouble is, I have to do it every time I
start it.
Any idea what could cause this?
when we go to start the cycle it actually starts but then makes a strange click noise and stops....and then the door will not open at all...we get the DU message
so how am I supposed to open the front door to even get to the locking mechanism?
The DE error keeps coming up. the door tries to engage but will not allow the machine to start cycle. Any way to override the lock mechanism
