My printer MX320 do not scan, says PC Scan Standby

You go on your computer open the start menu and go to devices and printers. Click on it. Click on your Canon Mx320 icon. Then it will say scanner management and you click on Scan Photos or Documents. The printer is just waiting for you to do it from the computer. From there you can preview the scanned photo or documented.
Press "OK" in the printer as well.

Ip address check 2 05 4051

It's a funny thing but all I did was press the physical SCAN button on the MP495 - instead of trying to do it from a program in the computer. It scanned the document immediately and launched MP Navigator.

I had tried most of the solutions here first, with no success.

1. Install the MP Navigator EX software located on the disc that came with the printer.

2. Go to Start > Programs > Canon Utilities > MP Navigator EX > MP Navigator EX.

3. Select Photos/Documents or Stack of Documents.

5. Select the Document Type in the left pane, then click the Scan button.

6. The scanning process should start. When it's finished, select Save to save the document(s) as a JPEG, or select Save as PDF to save it in PDF format.

How to scan picture to upload on computer

First, ensure you are connecting the scanner to your computer. I'm assuming USB connection, and that you're using an operating system supported by this device.

Next, install the drivers and software for this device. Those should have come with an installation disc, but if you don't have that disc, you can get them from the PIXMA MP830 support site, here:
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=123&modelid=12804

To scan a single document, place the document:
1. Place the document face down on the platen glass.
2. Open the MP Navigator 2.2 software.
3. Click Scan Photo/Document.
4. Click Document Type drop-down arrow and select the type of document to be scanned. Chose from the following types.
  • Color Document(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of color documents.
  • Color Document(Duplex): Select this to scan both sides of color documents.
  • B/W Document(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of monochrome documents.

    1. To scan using the ADF, remove any documents from the platen glass.
