I have just purchased a Canon Pixma iP2700 and am running it on a Mac PPC G5 OSX 10.5.8. After going through all the setup the mac recognises the printer and sends it through to the print queue, everything seems fine except nothing comes out of the printer...

That's an AGP graphic card ... As long as you have Agp slot on your mac g5 than you can run it . / If you are trying to play games on it , please upgrade to a better mac or buy a PC , PC's are for gaming :)
You didn't mention what kind of MAC . . . Check the Apple->About This Mac . . . You can try going to the Apple Store, and for 20 or 30 you can purchase an upgrade/new OS disk. I don't believe that you can go to 10.6 or higher if your Apple's Processor is a PowerPC (PPC). Good Luck
Did you use a system specific install of Tiger (OS X 10.4)? If so, you need to use the retail version of the OS so it will work across the board with all Macs.
