Looking for manuals of the hobart dishwasher model HX30-49....i'm working on a mining vessel and the catering dept. have been complaining that the dish washer hasn't been working for a while..me as the electrician didn't went into much details with the fault finding but rather wanted the manuals of the model i mention above so that i can learn the operation of the machine before commmencing my task of fault finding...could you please assist in regards..

There is no E1 error code for that machine and is is suggested that the display may be faulty.

For LXi machines

Drain and fill error messages are displayed as E0, E1, E2, E3, E4, E5, E6 or E7. In all cases, the dishwasher will terminate current cycle operations, turn off all heat sources and display the message until the OFF button is pressed. (A power drain will not occur when turned off.) (See Troubleshooting.) If problem persists, contact your local Hobart Service Office

The most obvious is that quality matters. Always buy OEM parts from Hobart and not copies from China sold by eBay or Amazon.

One further off the wall thought, running a 200v element on 220v power? If the element is right for the voltage, it can't be over run. The machine is advertised as 'wide voltage' AM15 DISHWASHER TECHNICAL MANUAL 208-240V/60/3. It has a 5 KW element and voltage specs from 200 volts to 415 3 phase depending on model.

From your description of distorted, bent and flaking, certainly suggests is has been used dry. This is an interesting unanswered question. Contactor not shutting power straight way?

That's a bargain if it works. Apparently the date is hidden in the last three digits of the serial number, so February 1998 seems likely. The only sure way is to contact Hobart themselves. They have a great service department. I have used many Hobart mixers in my catering career.

As the previous poster mentions, you can't decipher Hobart serial or ML numbers. I have about 30 pieces of Hobart equipment ranging from mixers to slicers to reach-ins to dishwashers and I couldn't make heads or tails of the numbers. Finally, I got hold of someone at Hobart who I emailed all the model numbers, serial numbers and ML numbers to and they emailed me back the month and year of manufacture. Even after I got the information, I still couldn't figure out where in the serial and ML numbers the manufacture dates were buried.

Hobart customer service advice or an online search

The wash arm bushing for this model is not available separately. You can use the bushing from the LX series and cut it shorter to length. Hobart will not issue service manuals to non Hobart personel because of liability issues. If you injured yourself from misinterpreting the manual, they would apparently be resonsnsible.

Look on the top edge of the door to find the data plate. It sounds like an SR24, if the leds are on the left of two temp gauges. If your sanitizer pump has a tired silicone tube that is flattened from use, it will not draw chemical. if you have an air bubble in the sense board at the back, it will think you have run out. If you have changed the type of chemical or diluted it, the board will need recalibrating to suit. Put some sanitizer in a small vessel with the pickup tube and monitor the amount delivered. Usually one is looking for 50 ppm solution of bleach and rinse water.( test with litmus paper) If you have an SR24H with a booster, you don't need bleach sanitizer and holding the sanitizer button will turn the sense off.
