I would like to block 1 number who makes nuisance calls and sms messages, the phone I have is a 2720 flip.

It sounds like there might be an issue with your Nokia 2720 Flip after trying to edit a contact. Have you tried restarting the phone to see if that resolves the problem? Usually a smart phone, or even a flip phone is already set for SMS. What happens when someone sends you a text message? You may need to change a setting to receive MMS messages, but normally SMS is like a phone call, it just works if the right number is used.

for sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it

this solves your messaging problem ...

Hi, on this make and model it is not possible to set up call barring the phone has not got the software to do this, some newer phones can offer this feature but most dont.
the only chance you have got of getting a number barred is by calling your service provider and tell them you keep getting nuisance calls from the number you want banned and tell them to block all calls from this person.

as your phone does not have the software for call barring then this is the only way of blocking a number, you need to call your service provider as they can block it for you, but you need to tell them its a nuisance caller and you want them barred from calling your number.

unfortunately, you cannot block sms from a certain number. you can however block calls.

blocking sms is actually an additional service. you may want to ask your network operator if they offer this kind of service.

this should be happening because of SMS memory full ... after it the messeges can not be sent .. or can be the connection problem..
