The cord that runs from the motor to the switch on the handle of my Black and Decker Electric lawnmower model mm675 has bare wires where it passes next to the pivot point on the handle. Actually it is worn where the latch stops the handle. I think I can replace the cord myself but was wanting to let you know of this problem. It seems like a design flaw and potential safety hazard.

I decided to modify mower myself. I replaced the corrogated plastuc that covered the cord with a smaller in diameter plastic sheething and then I cut two slots in motor cover and tywrapped the sheething to the cover.
The result was the cord now does not touch the handle bracket.

Have a black and decker 19in electric mower. was

The "wedge" of the plastic lever wears, so you need to replace the lever or build up that section of the lever. Some cyanoacrylate (Super Glue / Krazy Glue) and a piece of a zip tie will work.

Black&Decker MM675 lawn mower height lever would not stay

I would look in my owners manual and get the part number for the height lever and order a new one. You could also try and wire the height lever so it can not move. I am not sure how it engages but you could may be try and bend the lever so it is tight and won't move. Just a couple of ideas.

Good luck

Can i convert a 12v cordless black and decker mower to electric

I assume you mean convert it to corded, connected to the mains; cordless is electric as well.
It is possible but there are conversion losses as compared to using a 'native' AC corded mower motor.
It also depends on why you want to convert it. If you find the battery unit underpowered, adding a 12v power supply and cord will not solve that, it will just extend the run-time to continuous, assuming the motor does not overheat, as it is probably designed to match the battery run length for on/off cycle times.
You could consider trading, or selling yours and buying a corded mower.
