There should be a DISP button on the back of the camera, try that =] If not, take out the battery and re-installing it should do the trick. Hope this helps!

I don't know how to use the lcd screen when taking pictures

Many cameras that have view finders do not support use of the LCD display to compose or frame a picture. This is generally to conserve battery life of the camera. Most of these cameras limit how long a picture is displayed on the screen to 10 or 15 seconds, immediately after taking for the very same reason.

The exception would be a camera that lacks a view finder - or has a menu item that allows the user to compose the picture on the LCD in addition to the viewfinder. Some manufacturers call this "live view". Check your camera manual to see if it is supported. If so, be sure to buy extra batteries!

I hope this helps & good luck!

I have a Canon A560 camera. It takes pictures and I can download them to my computer OK. But the LCD screen is black, I don't see any display at all. Pushing the display button does no good.It got...

If your LCD doesn't light up then it's either the backlight or the LCD, you can open up the camera and check the cables before buying any parts. Some LCD screens come with the backlight, some don't; not sure if this one does or not.

IF it was water damage, you probably have corrosion on the main PCB and won't be able to fix it without replacing the board... open it up and check for corrosion!

Hope this helps.

The picture frame still scrolls pictures but the pictures are very dark and unable to be seen well. Is the frame ruined?

Hi, Don't put screen in direct sun light or bright light. Bright lights will destroy LCD screen. The LCD screen has some adjustments on back. You might be able to readjust picture brightness.
Good luck.

I have a toshiba satellite a355-s6935 the lcd screen was replaced as it had been smashed. Now there is no display on new screen or if I attach an external monitor. All I get is black screen, is it...

Most laptops have a "toggle" to control the video-output:
* only to the internal LCD,
* only to the external VGA port,
* to both internal and external.

Toggle to activate the external VGA port, and connect an external monitor.
If you don't get a picture, then the computer's video-adapter is the problem.

Take the laptop into a darkened room, and look at the LCD screen.
If the inverter is dead, there still should be a VERY-FAINT picture.

How to change out a broken lcd screen on an aspire

http://www.insidemylaptop.com/remove-lcd-screen-replace-inverter-board-acer-aspire-5100-laptop/
This is its contents without the pictures:

OK, let’s get inside the display assembly.
First of all, turn off the laptop, unplug AC adapter and remove the battery.
The screen bezel* has four screws hidden under for seals. Two rubber seals on the top of the bezel and two plastic seals on the bottom.
You can remove all four screw seals with a sharp object as it shown on the picture below. Glue removed seals somewhere on the bezel so they don’t get lost.
Remove four screws found under seals.
Start remove the screen bezel with your fingers. Proceed slowly while removing the bezel.
Carefully separate the display cover from the screen and access the LCD cable connector
You’ll have to unplug the LCD cable from the screen.
First, unglue the clear sticky tape securing the connection.
Second, unplug the LCD cable from the connector on the screen.
Here’s how you can remove the LCD screen.
Simply remove four screws securing the LCD screen to the display hinge. Remove four more screws from the other side of the screen.
Now you can remove and replace the LCD screen with a new LCD screen.
Put all the screws back in there places

Battery level don't show on display.

hi friend,

follow these steps
  1. Turn off your LCD display screen. I know this is hard—who likes shoving their face against the camera to compose a shot through the little viewfinder? But the LCD screen single-handed-ly drains a lot of power.
  2. Minimize the picture preview to the least amount of time possible—usually one second. This uses less LCD screen time, thus less power.
  3. Dim the brightness on your LCD screen. A dimmer display extends battery life by consuming less power to light the screen. This might make the display harder to see, but usually only in direct sunlight.
  4. Set the power saver to the least amount of time. Power saver lets your digital camera “sleep” when not in use, but doesn’t shut it down entirely. To “wake up” your digital camera, simply click the shutter button.
  5. Use your zoom as little as possible. The motor that moves the lens uses power. This also goes for repeatedly turning your digital camera on and off if it has an extend able lens.
  6. Turn off the continuous focus. Again, constantly using motors and electronics to ready your shot drastically minimizes battery life.
  7. Don’t push the shutter button half-way down until you’re ready to shoot. Pushing the shutter button (constantly resetting and refocusing) will drain battery life.
  8. Use the flash only when necessary. Your digital camera’s “auto flash” option should take care of this, but make sure your flash isn’t going off in broad daylight.
  9. Don’t delete pictures from your digital camera unless necessary. This consumes power. Wait until you download the pictures to your computer before deleting.
  10. This one’s basic, but charge your battery often. Lithium ion batteries, which most digital cameras use, don’t have “battery memory” like older alkaline. In fact, lithium ions work better and last longer if charged completely and regularly.
