Meaning of fault codes vt commodore

no the code is not 1013
it should flash this same sequence 3 times (one flash small pause then 3 flashes large pause) and then repeat it if there is no other code. if another code is present then it will flash a different number 3 times and then start again with your original code.

I have a 1994 plymouth voyage se and it will not strat. It tell me to check gauge light comes on. what should i do or what does that mean?

Turn key to on ( not start) then off, then on, then off, then on and leave on, and have a pen and paper ready to record flashes of "check engine light". It will flash then pause between second number of 2 digit code. Then a short pause and flash again, pause, then flash. For example: if it flashes 2 times, then pause, then flashes 2 more times, that would be code 22. If it flashes 3 times, pause, then flashes 5 more times, that would be code 35. As I said, there will be a short pause between 2 digits, as well as after number. Write them down as they come up and get back to us with those codes for advice. When you get code 55 ( 5 flashes, pause 5 more ) that means end of message. Those codes should point everyone in right direction of trouble spot.

I have a jazzy 1121 power chair and the lights on the joy stik are flashing and the chair just stoped working

Doggy count the number of flashes ie 4 flashes pause 4 flashes if you are not getting any pauses
what lights are flashing the battery level lights or the speed lights? Are all the battery level lights flashing or there are 3,4,5,6 or 7 etc. lights flashing? if you are getting a pause between flashes the number of flashes will tell you the error. Your owners manual should tell what each code means. Hope this helps

Where do I plug in my car to find out engine codes on my 93 dodge shadow

You don't need to, just cycle key, on (not start) off,on,off,on and leave in on position and count flashes of check engine light.
Will be a 2 digit number with pause in between. For example: 3 flashes, pause, 3 more, is code 33. 1 flash, pause, 2 flashes, is code 12. When you get 5 flashes, pause, 5 more, that's 55 which means end of message.

Check engine codes for 1991 Dodge Spirit LE , light comes on but does not blink then goes out.

Turn key to on, then off, then on, then off, then on & leave it on, (not start, just to on) then count the number of flashes of check engine light. It will flash, then have a small pause, then flash again. It will be a 2 digit number, for example: 2 flashes, pause, 2 more flashes, will be code 22. 3 flashes, pause, then 5 more flashes would be code 35. When you get 5 flashes, pause, then 5 more, That is code 55 which just means end of message. Get back to us with codes & we'll advise of what to look for.

CAR LOOSES BOGS OUT AT HWY SPEEDS AND IDOLOS ROUGH .

Cycle your key on (not start, just on) off, on , off ,on, and leave it on. have paper & pen ready. Watch flashes from check engine light. It will flash quick, pause flash quick. It will be a 2 digit number each time. For example: flash, flash, short pause, flash, flash. is # 22. Flash, flash, flash, pause, flash ,flash, flash. is # 33. There will be a slightly longer pause between codes,(after every 2 digits) then next code starts. 2 numbers again. When you get 5 flashes, pause, 5 flashes = code # 55 means end of message. Check it out and let me/us know what you get.

How do i get the trouble codes off a 1989 mazda mpv?

http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/3331/obdikx3.jpg

The above link is to a diagram of your ALDL connector, all you need is a paper clip, straighten out the paper clip and insert one end into the diagnostic test pin and one in the system ground pin (terminals A & B).

Then put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position but DO NOT start the engine. You will then see the check engine light flash. It will initially start by flashing once, then a pause and then flash twice and it will repeat this three times. That flash sequence indicates 12, which just means the system is operating. Its the flash sequences after that that will give you the code if any are stored.

For instance if it flashes twice, then pauses, then flashes four times, thats code 24. So any flash sequence you get after the initial 12 (flash once, pause, flash twice) you need write those down. Below is a list of diagnostic codes to tell you what the codes mean.

Code 12
1 flash, pause, 2 flashes
Diagnostic: This Code will flash whenever the diagnostic terminal is grounded with the ignition switch turned on and the engine is not running.

Code 13
1 flash, pause 3 flashes
Oxygen sensor voltage stays between 0.35 and 0.55 volts for 30 seconds when the TPS signal was above 0.55 volts. The engine had been running for at least 40 seconds with an engine temperature above 110° F.

Code 14
1 flash, pause, 4 flashes
Coolant temperature sensor signal indicates a temperature of over 284° F for 4 seconds after the engine had been running for at least 10 secondsCoolant Sensor Circuit (high temperature) If the engine is experiencing overheating problems, have those fixed before continuing. Check all wiring and connectors associated with the coolant temperature sensor. Replace the Coolant temperature sensor.

Code 15
1 flash, pause, 5 flashes
Coolant Sensor Circuit (low temperature) Coolant temperature sensor signal indicates a temperature colder than -36° F for at least 4 seconds after the engine had been running for 2 seconds. See above, then check wiring connections at the ECM

Code 16
1 flash, pause, 6 flashes
Charging system voltage was either below 9 volts or above 17 volts for 10 seconds. System High Voltage If the voltage is above 17.1 volts for more than 2 seconds, the Service Engine Soon light will illuminate. Have the charging system checked.

Code 17
1 flash, pause, 7 flashes
PCM did not detect any spark reference pulses within 240 fuel control reference pulses (80 crank revolutions) while engine was running below 1200 RPM. Spark Reference Circuit.
