When readjusting the cable tension the screw that holds the cable tight on the back derailer got dislodged and fell out of the housing. Some how the derailer body moved and the screw cant go back in.

Derailleur position should have nothing to do with being able to reinsert the cable binding bolt, and unless the cable is very loose the tension is adjusted with the barrel adjuster at the end of the cable housing.

I have an electric RMartin R10H, and replaced the 9c motor hub. But, the derailed is no longer aligned. Cog needs to be moved outward by 3/8 inch or so. Is such an extender available?

Are adjustment screws all the way out? If so, frame won't accommodate this cog. ITs too wide. Sometimes a frame spreader will correct. This repair is difficult to do, contact local bike shop for assistance

Adjusting the tracking for a shimano 515 revoshiftrear rear gearchange difficult to see what the 2 small adjustiing screws do I only get 5 of my 6 speeds

The screws adjust how far the derailer can move. If you can't get to the gear on the outside then loocen the screw in the outside. If you can't get the biggest gear loosen the other screw. For most derailers, loosening it will do what you want but watch the derailer move. If it moves the wrong way, turn the screw the other way. If you still need some help, I suggest you contact your local bike shop for help.

How can i tell the model of my shimano bike i need to get rear brake parts and a front derailer plus cables.one thing it has is a adjustable spring in the middle of the frame?

Shimano doesn't make bikes. Individual parts like brakes and deraileurs are not usually model-specific or unique andcan be exchanegd for other models.

You can use a search engine for just about anything. "shimano brake yada yada"

A bicycle shop could assist you.

Hi I have Giant 8x3 24 speed Sora system can I repalce the rear derailler with the later model 9 speed. I will still use the 8x3 24 speed. regards Kevin

You would have to change your right lever. Its more than likely your right lever clicks 8 times to accommodate your 8 speed rear cluster.Oh.. and your rear derailier might have to be upgraded too.You might get away with the rear derailier because a 9 speed rear cluster sprockets will be closer together. This means you also have to change your chain to a narrower chain. If it were me,I wouldnt do it.It could cost you big dollars for one extra sprocket. But thats your choise .Cheers

New shifters for deore xt x7 delrailer

Shimano make an "EZ fire" which is an integrated shifter/brake lever combination and cheaper than buying seperate shifters and levers.
