My phone has been out of service for a while today. I have rebooted the phone numerous times, but I get the message: "SIM not provisioned MM #2". What does this mean and is there anything I can do to fix it?

that means that the sim that is in the phone is not activated to a network or provider. it may become damaged.

get a sim card that you have payed for service with then register the phone with them

Are you sure you unlocked it correctly? Try it again to see if the process completed correctly. It sounds like it isn't fully unlocked.

I would contact your service provider to ensure the SIM is activated.

Try changing the sim card. The sim card might be faulty since the new 4G phones use the micro sim cards or the newer versions of the sim cards. Try a new sim card and that should work.

Your smartchip apparently isn't active with your cellphone service company. Are you certain that the chip you have installed in the phone is the one that your cell service gave you currently? You mentioned putting minutes on your phone, so I'm assuming you have a pre-paid plan. You must have a smartchip that's specifically set up for that type of service.

You need to have a data plan on your SIM card, or a friend with the same provider with a SIM card you can borrow. The phone REQUIRES a data package to activate. You can however get past the activation, however this is quiet involved. I would google search it if you really want to attempt to get past the problem, but I am warning you, this is tough.

I'm Currently using this phone. I had this problem also. Take to your and request for a new SIM Card, or you could try just removing the SIM card and re-inserting it.

you dont have to buy new sim...go to your nearest service senter. hardware failure.... sim sockets or sim ic... thats the problem...
